In general with ANY surgery, if you feel like things aren't right- even a little, call the Dr.  They are use to it, you aren't being a bother or high maintenance.  They would rather catch a problem early than late.  I have no experience with this situation (yet) but from my nursing experience I can tell you that you generally know your body and if if you are worried, it's worth the call.  If for no other reason than peace of mind.

I can tell you that I have called my doctor and I love calling my doctor and asking questions when something is not right.  It's how I found out about the needle pain I am having and it is normal as the nerves are coming back to life.

I do NOT listen to doctor Facebook.  I listen to my doctor and nurses and let them know and let them tell me what to do as they are the professional and know what they are doing.

So I always love talking to my doctor.  I learned that from my Cancer days with call the doctor and let them know and decide.

After talking to Dr. DeLeon on my problem with on I have been having to slide in and out on the purple dilator.  She advised me for right now till I go see her on Monday to try one time a day using the blue dilator intermittent to the purple 2 times a day to see how it goes and feels.

Today for my afternoon dilation, I tried the blue one.  For the first time on the size up it was awkward trying to get one size up to go in.  But was able to slide the whole thing in for the first time and it went in all the way to the 5th dot.

So hopefully that for me and will know more Monday that it was just a matter that the canel wanted to close up faster on why the purple one I was having to do in and out to slide it in.  Hope the blue allows me to have it easier.

Following Doctors orders and even with first time on blue it was not that bad

Not sure if it is still the high that I finally have my correct part or not, But I have been in love with seeing her and admiring her.  I have been taking lots of pictures of her and cleaning her inside and out.  I just so happy to finally have her and I am loving her.  It is just so grate to have my correct part

So this is going to be a little on the fetish side.  But yesterday I tried on one of my dance leotards to see how I look and feel wearing my dance leotard now that I have my correct part.  When I tried it on, it felt so amazing to be able to wear one of my dance leotards without having to worry about hiding myself or tucking.  I looked just like a natural cis woman and just feel in love with myself.  I could not believe how i love my leotards now that I have my correct part

No, I completely feel this. I LOVE wearing my leggings to the gym. They're wicked tight and show off everything I DON'T have. Love them and they make me feel pretty.

Hugs!

Saw Dr. DeLeon today and she took a look and said that I am healing nicely.  She likes how the dilation with the canal looks.  Everything is looking good.  We went back over my problem I had over the weekend with having to finense the purple dilator in with pull back a little and then push in just to get it to go in.  She was correct, when the wound closed up more it did start to constrict the canal.  So the purple dilator in morning, blue in afternoon and purple in evening is working out.  She said that if I feel comfortable on staying with that to go ahead and stay with that combination.  She reminded me that this is not a race with dilation and to go at my comfort level.  If I want to stay at the purple, then I can stay at the purple.  If I want to go all the way up to the orange then I can go up to the orange.  She said that this is at my comfort level and what is alright with me and does not inflict pain.  So for right now, the purple, blue, purple that I have been doing is fine and I am not in pain.  So I am leaving it as is.

Everything is looking real good and feeling good and I am slowly getting back to my old self.

You don't want to get back to your old self you want to enjoy your true new self. Congratulations on your progress I still am envious but I couldn't be envious of a more beautiful young lady.

So I have to say that the one thing I miss is being able to stand and pee.  guys have it so easy in that area.  But I do love my vigina and feel so much better.

actually I'm looking forward to sitting and peeing.

Heavens, I think I’ve sat to pee for as long as I can remember. So it wasn’t a change for me! Glad you’re doing well.

I mostly sit, but admittedly there are times when stand-peeing is convenient, like in the woods etc.

Hi Aurora,

I am not far behind you. I had my surgery two weeks ago. Although this is an upgrade for both of us, there are times it won't be as convenient. They make female urinals for when public bathrooms are too nasty, or if you are out in the wilderness. I have thought of buying one for when I am traveling. Google it.

Maybe on the trail, but I prefer being "hands free." It's also neater.

I dont mind sitting and peeing and it's no problem for me.  But what made me want to stand and pee but could not is when I was out at a park and I needed to pee and so I used one of those park restrooms and those are dirty and nasty.  I was afraid to sit and wanted to stand but could not, so I quickly learned the hover method and just hovered over the toilet and pee that way.

Each day on recovering is getting better and better.  I have energy and strength.  I am feeling good.  I am also listening to my body as well.  What I have noticed is that when I need to bend or crouch is when I feel uncomfortable due to my pelvis being swollen.  I can still bend and crouch, but it takes me a little longer than normal so that way I can stay comfortable.  Otherwise, I am doing pretty good and relaxing

@Auroraand @Confused1 it's good to read that you're both doing well after surgery. While I was away, you both were on my mind and in my prayers.

Hugs,

"I love you so much,"  Lois said.  They met in the driveway. "I could not live without you." "Neither could I." "What are we going to do?" "Find another counselor?" "No. I think we need to solve this ourselves." "Do you think we can?" "I don't know.  But what I know is that I don't want to go through that again.  I think we have to hope we can find a solution." "Otherwise, despair." "Yeah.   Truce?" "Okay,  truce." And they hugged.   "When we know what we want we can figure out how to get there."   That began six years of angry battles, with Odie insisted he could dress as he pleased and Lois insisting it did not please her at all.  He told her she was not going to control him and she replied that she still had rights as a wife to a husband. Neither was willing to give in, neither was willing to quit, and their heated arguments ended in hugs and more.   They went to a Crossdressers' Club, where they hoped to meet other couples with the same problems, the same conflicts, and the same answers, if anyone had any.  It took them four tries before they settled on a group that they were both willing to participate in.  This was four couples their own age, each with a cross dressing husband and a wife who was dealing with it.  They met monthly.  It was led by a 'mediator' who wanted people to express how they felt about the situation.  Odie and Lois, as newcomers, got the floor, and the meeting was finally dismissed at 1:30 in the morning - it was supposed to be over at 10 - and everyone knew how they felt about the situation.   There was silence in the car on the way home.   "We aren't the only ones dealing with this." Odie finally said.   "Who would have thought that?  You are right."   "Somebody out there has a solution." "I hope you are right."   "I hope in hope, not in despair."   "That's my Odie."

The counseling session was heated, if you could call it a counseling session.  Sometimes Lois felt he was on Odie's side, and sometimes on hers.  When he was on her side, Odie got defensive. She found herself being defensive when it seemed they were ganging up on each other.   "This is not working," Lois said angrily, and walked out.  "Never again. I want my husband back. Dr. Smith you are complicit in this."   "What?" said Odie.   The counselor looked at him.  "You will have to learn some listening skills."   "That is it? Listening skills?  You just destroyed my marriage, and you told me I need to learn listening skills?"   Dr. Smith said calmly,"I think you both need to cool off."   Odie looked at him and walked out, saying "And you call yourself a counselor."   "Wait a minute."   "No."

I have read some of it, mostly in areas specifically targeted at the LGBTQ+ peoples.   You also have to take into account what and who is behind the words, not just the words themselves. Together that creates context, right? Let's take some examples, under the Department of Health & Human Services section:   "Radical actors inside and outside government are promoting harmful identity politics that replaces biological sex with subjective notions of “gender identity” and bases a person’s worth on his or her race, sex, or other identities. This destructive dogma, under the guise of “equity,” threatens American’s fundamental liberties as well as the health and well-being of children and adults alike."   or   "Families comprised of a married mother, father, and their children are the foundation of a well-ordered nation and healthy society. Unfortunately, family policies and programs under President Biden’s HHS are fraught with agenda items focusing on “LGBTQ+ equity,” subsidizing single-motherhood, disincentivizing work, and penalizing marriage. These policies should be repealed and replaced by policies that support the formation of stable, married, nuclear families."   From a wording perspective, who doesn't want to protect the health and well-being of Americans or think that families aren't good for America? But let's take a look at the author, Roger Severino. He's well-quoted to be against LGBTQ+ anything, has standard christian nationalist views, supports conversion therapy, etc.   So when he uses words like "threatens the health and well-being of children and adults alike" it's not about actual health, it's about enforcing cis-gendered ideology because he (and the rest of the Heritage Foundation) believe LGBTQ+ people and communities are harmful. Or when he invokes the family through the lens of, let's just say dog whistles including the "penalization of marriage" (how and where?!), he idealizes families involving marriage of a "biological male to a biological female" and associates LGBTQ+ family equity as something unhealthy.   Who are the radical actors? Who is telling people to be trans, gay, or queer in general? No one. The idea that there can be any sort of equity between LGBTQ+ people and "normal" cis people is abhorrent to the author, so the loaded language of radical/destructive/guise/threaten are used. Families that he believes are "good" are stable/well-ordered/healthy, specifically married/nuclear ones.   Start looking into intersectionality of oppression of non-privileged groups and how that affects the concept of the family and you will understand that these platitudes are thinly veiled wrappers for christian nationalist ideology.   What's wrong with equity for queer families, to allow them full rights as parents, who are bringing up smart and able children? Or single mothers who are working three jobs to get food on plates?

Well yesterday didn't work like I wanted to. I met a guy and started talking and he was wanting to be in a relationship. I asked my kids on how they thought of me dating a man and they said gross and said no. I guess it's time to look for women. I think that is going to be harder. Oh well I guess.

I am reading the Project 2025 document https://www.project2025.org/policy/   This will take some time.  I read the forward and I want to read it again later.   I read some criticism of it outside here and I will be looking for it in the light of what has been posted here and there.  Some of the criticism is bosh.   @MaeBe have you read the actual document?
