Don't buy these.

Don't buy any of them silicone cleaning pads. That are ment for cleaning brushes. I bought one, as I have about 30 brushes. That need cleaning about twice a a month or so.

I figured yes that will save time. In reality it takes longer. Especially when the product builds up on the pad. Since its silicone. The product just sits on top, and really dosn't wash away. Even with water running over it.

Just use dish soap, a non toxic cleaner like simple green, or brush soap, and your hand. Pro tip do powders first. As they generally wash off under water in your hand. Do liquids last especially if you use a foundation brush. That brush will take the longest to get clean, and will usually be the worst.

Yes, I use pretty much the same - Liquid soap in the palm of my hand and just swirl around and rinse. I don't always use the best quality brushes but do find they are far better with less lost bristles. I use paintbrushes quite often, both for painting and makeup (not the same brushes lol). With my paintbrushes I use saddle soap to clean them. I suspect it would work well with makeup brushes but have never tried it.

You too?  I once worked in an art supply store, so a lot of my eye and blush brushes are made by Windsor & Newton or Grumbacher. They work pretty well. lol

I have brushes ranging from like 5-25 dollars. With the avg being around 10, so I wouldn't say I'm spending a lot on brushes my self. I don't paint my self, but when I started I bought a lot of junk brushes. That worked really well for cleaning the inside of my car.

I usually use a tea tree cleanser that is a budget brand works just the same as the higher priced makeup brush washes.

I have started using dawn dish soap. That really cleans everything well. It knocked my cleaning time in half.

I have had great success with Dawn dish soap as well.  It cuts the makeup really well and seems to leave my brushes in good condition.  Rather inexpensive as well.

My only issue is it makes them clumby, but simply beating them against a finger. In a up and down motion. Usally gets out the last of the water, and soap

Superdrug yea tree cleansing face wash is perfect and at 3 pounds lasts me 3 months and use makeup daily.

Tea tree is best form of brushing washing ensuring a good rinse ready for the morning.

This topic reminds me of the lyrics to the Beatles song, "A Little Help From My Friends."   "What do you see when you turn out the lights?"   "I can't tell you but I know it's mine."   Carolyn Marie

@Ivy have you read the actual document?   Has anyone else out there read it?
    • Abigail Genevieve
I am reading the Project 2025 document https://www.project2025.org/policy/   This will take some time.  I read the forward and I want to read it again later.   I read some criticism of it outside here and I will be looking for it in the light of what has been posted here and there.  Some of the criticism is bosh.   @MaeBe have you read the actual document?

      *older, not holder, oops :P

      No problem!

Old topic, but I gotta say my favorites are: "Stop hitting on minors" (doesn't work if you're holder tho) and "Sure as [squid] not you"

Abigail, I think we will just leave the other posts where they are, and the discussion can start anew here.  It is possible to do what you ask, but would disrupt the flow of the discussion in the other thread, and would require more work than it's worth.   Carolyn Marie

I am in too good a mood to earn my certificate today. I am sure something will happen that will put me on the path to earning it.

It's likely most cis-women consider a fitting unnecessary "because they know what  they wear" and get used to the wrong size.  The instructions for what your size is are simple and why go to any further effort?  You measure your bandsize and you measure your max and subtract the two to get the needed info for the cup size.  Then you buy the same size for years until it hurts or something.

Congratulations Lorelei! Yes, it is a powerful feeling to have the documents that say "you are you".

Here is space for discussion on this, since the topic is large and could derail another thread SOMEBODY started.   Could some dear, sweet, kind Moderator pull everything related to this from the Voting for Trump thread and put it here?  I don't know if you can do that; I am the new girl on the block after all (blinks sweetly).

I will have arrived when I have a b*tch certificate of my own.  I think someone called me one once.

That’s fantastic Lorelei. I’m so happy for you.   Hugs,   Mindy🌈🐛🏳️‍⚧️🦋
