Can I pull this off casually?

I bought this exact top to wear to work. In the picture It looked ok for my job. I figured u would have to layer it under some thing and that was ok, and has you can see in the picture. It seems borderline appropriate for daytime. Anyway I got home tonight, and it arrived. I didn't try it on right away, but I did after my shower. I wasn't even wearing a bra, and I was like yea this is a bit too much cleavage for daytime. Any suggestions ladies.

I think it really depends on your specific industry and your workplace. I don’t think it‘s overly revealing. Does it look like the model shown wearing that outfit could blend as one of your coworkers?

 

Also, if your concerned and still want to wear it...Break your coworkers into the look by adding a neutral lightweight sweater over it to start out the day. Everyone will be used to the look.  Then later take off the sweater. They’ll not give it a second look in regards to being too revealing.

 

I doubt anyone will say anything but maybe, “Wow, what a beautiful top”

It's retail at a female clothing store, but yea im not sure how the ladies dress yet. As I start next week. I have seen similar items for sale by the company in the past though.

 

I also asked a few of my girlfriend's the same thing I did here. I'm just waiting to hear what they say also.

Wear it but have a camisole in your purse or lunch bag to put under it if needed.  Then ask your boss what they think.  For ladies retail though I would think it was appropriate.

I did think about wearing a tank or cami under it. I will show my boss a picture of it first, and see what she says. 

 

I think I'm scared to wear it for a few reasons. One as munch as I love my chest, and show a bit of cleavage once and a while. I'm not sure im comfortable  showing that munch yet. Two people thinking it's not age appropriate. While I think its age appropriate for me at 35. Younger or older woman might not. Three being called slurs I can't say here.

I have a similar style top, also sleeveless but a bit wider should straps, and while it’s on a hanger it does look a bit “adventurous”.  But when I wear it it flows perfectly over the contours of the bra (bra cups needs to be separate enough though). Of course, when you bend over it will hang down and show the bra but it’s inevitable. And you will be tempted to adjust it to a perfect position all the time ? But it is absolutely lovely once you get used to it.

I don't have cleavage, but I have worn shirts for work that showed off quite a bit of chest, no one has said anything so far. As for age appropriate, I'm 37 and pretty much dress like a teenager (I get free clothes from a coworker's daughter when she gets tired of them). I have worn very small tops that show off a lot of chest and tummy, and things like fishnet stockings (not at work but out and about). I really don't think that top you showed is alarming in any way.

I had a cowl neck like that many years ago, but pink. I had a love hate relationship with it. It gave me the illusion I had breast, but was less revealing. What I didn't like, and why I avoided any thing with low necks. Was because I didn't have any breast. Even though I was fluffy, a push up bra didn't do munch. Now that I have proper breast tissue, and my muscles have changed to fat. A push up bra is my friend. 

 

Also a friend got back to me, and said it looked cute, and agrees with you guys. I can pull it off for daytime.  She just is worried about the fit. I told her I would snap a picture of me wearing it later, and send her the picture.
