I messed up (Oops)

So idk if I would say that I actually have drug misuse problems, but I definitely messed up today. I took a bunch of <?? substance. yesterday and was fine, just up and about doing things for most of the evening until around 10pm when I fell asleep. Then I got up this morning and I was STILL out of it. I made an expensive goof at work today and tried to order McDonald's sauce at Taco Bell, and I hope to God my boss hasn't noticed anything is off. I just happen to have one of those jobs that requires attention to detail, too. Anyways, while I was really high I got the super cool sensation of just being a man, down to what my body looked like and was like in detail. I kept waking up and wondering why the eff I didn't have balls. That went a long way to erasing the doubts I had about my gender identity, which are pretty distant at this point. Anyways, I'm just at work now drinking water and trying to manage, trying not to get in too much trouble. I know my mental health is suffering and my drinking is up, too. Just trying to make it through the day right now. ?

I know this sounds mean, but you and everyone else might be safer if you told your boss you mistakenly (??) took an overdose of a drug, and went to an urgent care facility where they can monitor you.  It looks like our forbidden word filter has changed some of your medication information there since we do not allow discussion of questionable or illegal drugs on the forum.  Medical help for detoxing is always the best thing since unsupervised detoxing can lead to medical problems involving breathing, blood pressure, and heart issues, and a couple of other internal organs as well.  All of that can really mess with your chances for correcting Dysphoria for longer than one evening.  Please let us know, we care.

I didn't take it as mean, just didn't really think about that. I didn't think it was the kind of thing you could overdose on. I purchased it legally and everything and it is wearing off.

I am glad you are doing better.  Now you know what it is capable of which may help you in the future.

I have found that when i thought about getting high if i chatted with someone who understood i soon lost the desire.  In my case one slip could easily lead to a return of serious addiction.  I can purchase alcohol or even pot legally in NJ now but using them would only lead to issues such as you describe.  I would suggest that soberly dealing with gender issues will lead to much greater peace and happiness than using can ever bring.  I was 3 years completely sober before i was able to start a path to being myself.

Hugs,

Charlize

Hi Ellie Jean,

We want to avoid discussing using illegal drugs, not support for quitting or avoiding illegal drugs. In our community, drug abuse is a fairly prevalent thing. We support recovery from addiction, not the use of illegal drugs.

Lots of love,

Timber Wolf?

Quick question though...if we do not allow discussion of questionable or illegal drugs on the forum.

In this particular case the amount / dosage was discussed and that is strictly a no-no per our rules 8, 12 and 13 as a combo job.  As @Timber Wolf said we do discuss drug/alcohol in general terms, as well as recovery from abuse of those substances.  I won't tell you the amounts and brands of alcohol I was abusing 14 years ago at other than to say "much too much". Another item is that while this Forum is based in the U.S. and there are some places a substance may be legal, they are not legal in every state yet, and are not legal in the countries where many of our members live.

      M.   The term bigender works for me because after taking the time to explore my feelings, I kept coming to the same conclusion, that while I felt an overpowering need to express my inner woman, I also enjoyed being a man.  I realized that my personality was equal parts man and woman and to be happy and fulfilled, I needed to express both sides.  There are challenges living a life of two-gender expression, but I'll expand on some of those in future posts.     Hugs,   Sally

Sally, a moderator can edit the post adding "Post 3" if you would like. Let me know and I'll be glad to take care of it. That way your numbering system is in tact.   Hugs,   Mindy🌈🐛🏳️‍⚧️🦋

I thought Hey, I can't be experiencing Gender destroyer because it doesn't fit the narrative, but Hey I can. I am experiencing mild discomfort in relation to my gender. Because and that can be a form of mild form of it this forum because their elements of my gender that are out of alignment with my sign gender at birth. There are elements of my gender I have been holding back on some I did not even know for fear it did not fit was told was not very manly or in some other way not correct for someone who is an amab. I tried embracing and expressing some of these parts of me even for just a little bit every once in a while and it feels like a relief to me like a weight has been lifted.

Welcome to Transgender Pulse Forums @violet r   I think we all were scared with our first post here on TPF. I hope you come to find this site as welcoming as an old friend. Not knowing the type of retail you're in, it is hard to know how they will react to your coming out. I would hope that if it's part of a larger corporation they may have corporate policies supporting/protecting you once you decide to come out publicly. No one here will rush you, or try to slow you down, once you've decided to come out. Some of us are secret sisters, and others of us are as flamboyant as they come. The cool this is you get to choose. You be you.   Best wishes, stay positive, and motivated,   Mindy🌈🐛🏳️‍⚧️🦋

Welcome aboard, Violet. What a pretty name!   You are among friends here. We are all on a journey, with things in common despite our individual uniqueness. I hope that makes sense!

Welcome Violet.  It's been awhile since i found this space with so many who understand the struggle to simply be ourselves in a society that often disapproves,  It isn't an easy path but being together we can share all the bumps and the joys. You are not alone.   Hugs,   Charlize

I'm sorry it didn't work out for the new job. Nothing to keep you from being on the search. I had a coworker who used to walk out of the locker room saying; "I was looking for a job with I found this one and I'll keep searching for the next one. Never let them think you're comfortable and settled."   The coffee has just finished brewing, and we have a HVAC technician coming in about 30 minutes to do an annual system check.   It's time to get out of my Pj's.   Mindy🌈🐛🏳️‍⚧️🦋
