Transition funk?

I feel like I reached a transition funk lately. I'm 9.5 months on hormones, and been full-time since April. I would say iam overall happy I made this choice. Hormones have worked better then I would have ever expected. I pass visually even up close. I have good friends that support me, I have a great job, I'm not depressed, and suicidal, and most days I'm happy. 

 

My transition has been super easy compared to a lot of trans peoples, and im not trying to brag how easy its been, but I figured this was going to be more of a challenge, and a struggle like my whole life has been. If any thing this had been easiest, and best decision I have ever done, and I think there is my problem. Life's not a challenge right now. Because of how well everything is going. Not saying I don't have issues in my life. Its far from perfect, but those issues arnt related to my transition. 

 

Has any one else had this type of funk with their transition..

Not sure what you mean by funk?  Thought that expression meant something negative, or stagnant.

 

Your post reads like everything is going better than expected and youre not wanting to brag about it.  I think its great that you pass and have noticeable results already on 9+months HRT.

If you're worried life isn't hard enough for you right now, maybe be glad and don't worry too much?

 

My life has gotten steadily better since I decided to transition in 2015.  I'm still trapped in much of the same "funk" I had before.  Not all of it though.  The weight that has been dropped from my soul has eased my journey!  I'm functioning on a different level than previously able. But I'm still lugging around alot of pain, with no answer for it.   I do not believe that my upcoming surgeries are the pot of gold.  Hoping they might be the beginning of another rainbow??

See for me I enjoy a challenge. I think because I hated my old life so much. It was a challenge to find even a bit of happiness among the depression, and suicidal thoughts. With the ultimate goal of transitioning some time. 

 

Well I've transitioned now. The depression, and suicidal thoughts are gone. I feel like I don't have any personal challenges any more. Yes I have challenges in my career, and everything else, but I don't feel like life is a challenge overall any more, and that is what I think I'm missing. I'm sure that doesn't make sense, but when you spend 35 years dealing with the bad hand you are delt. Then it all gos away overnight pretty much. I just don't know how to deal with it..
