Lubrication

I still get frequent sharp pains around my clitoris / inner labia. It's the sort of thing that people call "nerves reconnecting", but a year and a half after surgery, any nerves that were going to reconnect would have done so a long time ago. These pains feel like skin trauma.

I think that all the flexing and stretching from the clitoral hood extending and retracting are the cause. Of course, I can't see a darned thing down there. Squatting over a mirror, I am too far away from the area to see the microscopic detail of what is going on. And much of the problem happens when the hood is extended (clitoris retracted), when I can see even less.

Lubrication seems to help. But I have to re-apply the lube several times a day, especially before exercise.

I have been using Astroglide. It works, but it turns to glue as it dries.

Questions...

1. Do others have similar problems? I am not talking about vaginal pain / lube. I am interested particularly in the clitoral area and inside the inner labia. And, to a lesser extent, the area between the outer labia.

2. What is a recommended lube for that area?

3. Any other recommendations?

Thanks!

My Gynecologist has me on an Estradiol cream that I use when things get dry.  It is prescription stuff, but it works very well in that area and for that purpose.  Give your Gyno a call and it may be right for you.

I hadn't thought of that as a lubricant.  I have some, so I'll give it a try.

Apropos of nothing, on my Activity stream this morning, this thread immediately followed the thread on someone's "Amazing Trip to Get Oil Changed."  😁

Since I had some, prescribed earlier to help heal scar tissue, I tried it.  It is working well so far.  It doesn't turn sticky like Astroglide does, and seems to be helping with the sharp skin pains.

So, thanks for the suggestion!

Glad to help you.  It does make my skin, especially in the vulva area moister.  I never used astro-glide,  Marci told me ONLY use water base lube unless my gyno said to use the E cream.

I'm puzzled by this chapelle backlash. He had a wonderful relationship with daphne. If one watched the special, at the end, chapelle informed us that he is setting up a fund for daphne's child. I don't think that's transphobia, rather, I think that is the best humanity has to offer.   As for trans related jokes, bring em on I say. Having a laugh at myself or feeling a bit of sarcastic pain is good for my soul. It reminds me that I am living in this world....which of course has always been the ultimate goal.

Sounds like a great outfit!  I busted out my knee highs last weekend.   ...and ya, looking good ladies. I just got back from Target, and noticed my body is beginning to give me away.  I think I'm in a place where the gender I'm presenting is largely in the eyes and ears of the beholder.  Not as cut and dry as I once thought it would be.

Welcome @MaybeImSkylar ! I'm glad you found the forum. I've found it to be a wonderful place with people who give loving support, advice & acceptance. I think you will too. You might find a gender therapist helpful, I know mine has helped me. A book called You & Your Gender Identity by Dara Hoffman Fox is another great way to explore your gender. They read it on YouTube also. I hope you enjoy your journey exploring your gender. Oh, your English seems fine to me.   Hugs! Delcina

I'm sorry that is not right that she took it.  Can you get it back or get another one maybe?

I got thing where I bring a bagel with me to work for breakfast. A couple months ago the owner happened to see it on my desk and asked for a piece. Besides being the person who signs my paychecks he’s really a great guy so I happily let him  have some. Since then he would randomly come by in the mornings looking for his piece of bagel so I’ve been making sure to always have one if I really wanted it or not. Now and again I would see him in back working with techs and would slide in drop if a piece and go back to my desk. He always thanks me for the mini-breakfast but today instead of just generically thanking me I got “thank you girlfriend”. I admit it was a little awkward but I feel really affirmed that he sees nothing but the woman I truly am.

Okay, I know the name of this thread is "What are you wearing today," but tomorrow, I am going out to dinner with a few girlfriends, so I'm already thinking about what to wear.  I think I'll be wearing a red, knee length pencil skirt, a black V-neck top and black knee hi boots.  Yippee, it's finally boot wearing weather here in New Jersey.   And ladies, let me just say, you all look so terrific.🙂

That kinda sucks but it doesn’t sound like it’s your problem to figure out. You just need to take care of yourself and get well.

Well. I haven't posted up the real kicker in my world. It is me, my store manager and the commercial manager that are out. The store manager lost his dad Wed night to Covid. and now he has pneumonia. SO he is out the full 14 days. We have one other manager that knows how to open the store. The other assist. We have 2 other managers that can close but one only works Weekends.  Don't know what the upper manager(s) are doing.     When it rains it pours.   Kymmie

🇺🇸Good☕️afternoon🏳️‍⚧️everyone🦋 I seen one of my old Battlion Chiefs at the training center this morning. He said, I look like a lumberjack from the front, and a lesbian from the back. 😂 😆 He has no idea how true the statement is.   In his defense, this is how I was dressed for a light rain day.
