What would I look like if I transitioned?

Probably the question most of us have before we even entertain the idea of transitioning is "What would I look like?" I was playing around with Face App to see. Obviously, this app can't show exactly what I would like. The app does clean up my crow's feet and doesn't seem to take my greying hair into account. So, what do you think?

Looks amazing! Seems like you could get there with just a touch of makeup in the right places? And a wig of course!  will this happen naturally with hormones and / or ffs?  Maybe? My face is changing gradually, becoming softer, though the eyes and eyebrows have a long way to go. Plus a hundred more hours of electrolysis. There’s only so much I can do with my 66 year old weather beaten mug!

I checked that out last fall and was stunned by it.  Everyone I talked to said to be careful with having something like that mess with your expectations.

Oh, I don't expect to look like that. It did amuse me how much I turned into my niece though. lol I'm nowhere near ready to transition. I'm looking into a counselor and seeing where that goes.

Filters can be a curse and a blessing. Though I think most of us have tried them at some point  They can help us see the "us" we want others to know, and on off days it can be a real comfort to see ourselves properly, but it is still special effects, those filters exist because everyone wants to look pretty and they do a great job of it, just be aware that the cake is a lie and have fun with it. The women in your family are probably a good indicator for where your body fat will shuffle to on HRT.

faceapp is really kind of useless for seeing what you'd look like. I look absolutely nothing like my faceapp pics from before I transitioned! But I'm happy with what I got/am getting anyways

 

also I don't know why but snapchat and faceapp filters always gave me the most awful dysphoria, so I stopped using them and was happier as a result.
