Hello! New here and not sure where to start :)

I´m 48 y o, female at birth, now trying to understand who I am. I have lived my whole life trying to please everyone around me by living up to the female standards. The last few years I have discovered the term non binary, and all of a sudden my history makes so much more sense. I look forward to talking to you wonderful people in here

I think a wonderful workbook you might consider to help you is shown below and you can pick it up for about $15 on Amazon. It really will help guide you with your own individual journey.

@stveee Shay isn't my last name and don't worry about that - but thank you for being considerate. I thought Shay was to be my new name when I joined because it was a name I'd never heard but in 1982 it called me and wouldn't let go. I did officially change my name recently and I'm officially Heather but Shay came is as one of 2 middle names (I figured I'm shelling out $90 so why not take 3 names and my surname).

 

I love hearing your excitement and know that when I came here I was not unlike you in many ways and I've found such friendship and love here. I can already see one of the other wonderful people has already responded and believe me - there will be more.

Sure!  Just click on the large purple Forums label at the top of this page.  That takes you to a listing of all forum topics, including non-binary and gender nonconforming people.

Hello, @DeeDee, pleased to meet you too! Yes, a total shock - to get a glimpse of how early I started repressing my real identity, and to realise today that I could just go out there and buy men's clothing and just ... wear whatever I want without asking anyone's approval.
