Been a while...

Hi my lovelies,

Been thinking a while about making an update to my story. Time to share life to this point.

So, I am legally Elizabeth now. Yesterday the court order came through, YAY!! Also, most of all have been on hormones for three months. Just getting started but it seems to be doing well. And lastly I have come out to everyone. I live, dispite the face hair, as me full time. Out to family, friends and most of all work.

Happily, I am accepted by most and respected by all, so far. Wish all could be and should be respected if nothing else. Well off to said work.

Hugs,

Elizabeth

Hi Elizabeth! Wonderful to hear your journey is going well, & you're accepted so well. I've been on HRT just over two months, the changes, they are a'comin. Starting to feel the balance between mind & body, & I love it!

Hugs!

Thanks for the update.  Becoming legally myself was a highlight boy my journey!  I almost had an urge to get a traffic ticket.  You will deal with the facial hair over time or simply learn to live with it.  I'm fortunate to only have to shave once a day or at times i've gotten away with two days.  Perhaps in time i'll do something about it?  Accept and respect is all we can expect.  I'm fortunate to have found that as well.

Hugs,

Charlize

Delcina B and Charlize,

Thank you for the replies. Yes thank goodness that everything that starts to clearly change helps my mind and body become one.

Sorry I did fail to mention. I am getting my face lasered, for the dark hair. Soon I will get electrolysis for the white. The one thing I should have had more done before coming out. Until a few months ago their was no one in my city to do the work. Luckily the laser operator, who just opened a shop, has an aunt here that is an electrologist. She does not advertise. So as with everything, it is all happening as it should.

I am trying to accept myself as I physically am, at this moment. I have tried to fit into the box my heart says I am in. Sadly it does my head in to work that hard. It is never good enough. So all I can do is accept myself, and pray others do too. I am headed to the right box for me, it is just slow. I have lived in the wrong box too long and any box, right or not, hurts way more than not fitting in the right one.

I think the most important thing for me to share, Is accept who you are as you are right now. Knowing you are headed in the right direction. Lucky for me I do not live in an area that I feel I NEED to hide myself from. Some people are unkind. I look very different than others. I will never fit in anyways. My personality is way to flamboyant and I can not hide it, most of all, anymore. I won't. Any hiding hurts more to me than just taking the mean. For once in my life I am ME no matter what others do.

That was the rest of my first post. I had to scurry off to work before. So  I was unable to finish it.

Thank you all for taking the time to read this. Wishing ALL my queer family the happiest of days no matter where in your journey you may be 😘🤗

Hugs,

Elizabeth

Hi Beth Susan! I'm so ready for laser, or something to rid me of the shadow. As you said, progress on the journey to feeling balanced. There's more than a few cis women who look in the mirror & think , "If only..."

Hugs!

I don't understand how if it's wrong to block care for 2 people, it's still okay to block it for everyone else.   But of course I'm not a lawyer/s   "He said minors diagnosed with gender dysphoria "deserve love, support, and medical care rooted in biological reality.""    The thing is, they don't believe we actually exist.

Good morning,   Put on my favourite new Rock band Tee from Torrid and some shorts.  I am just about ready to go spend my day at the stuffy day-centre after I get done soaking my feet.

4 months doesn’t seem such a long time now compared to the times I was previously looking at! 🙂   Many thanks to @Karen Careyfor pointing me towards GenderCare, they have been nothing but helpful and professional, and I wouldn’t be where I am now without them.

Love is a mix of feelings and actions that shows a deep liking for someone or something. Love involves caring for another. Romantic love can lead to things such as dating, marriage and sex, but a person can also feel for friends, such as platonic love, or family. There are also chemical reactions within the brain that can be triggered by the different types of love.

Good morning, everyone!! I'm still battling the Worst Head Cold Ever. Just when I think I've turned the corner, it smacks me back down. If you've got stock in tissues, I'm driving up your profits.   Our early Spring has the grass growing quickly. I need to get out today and cut it before it grows over the house. Today is supposed to be sunny and mid-60s so I'll suck up not feeling great and get the mowers out. At least I'll be in the sunshine for a few hours. The next few days are supposed to be rainy so it's today or wait until the weekend.   Time for a second cup of coffee!!   Stay safe and enjoy this beautiful day we've been given!!

Welcome Mattie.  When i got here i was at a point bin my journey when i was discovering my path.  Writing about it and reading about others helped me greatly as did gender therapy.  Perhaps the hardest thing was finding self acceptance without feeling guilt at simply being me. Enjoy your time here.  You are not alone.   Hugs,   Charlize

I picked a cancellation spot with Dr Lorimer yesterday and had my consultation a month early.  I had been worried about how it would go, but the process of exchanging information was nothing to worry about and I felt quite at ease throughout.  That’s not to say some parts weren’t challenging to articulate clearly, but Dr Lorimer’s manner helped enormously.   The GI/GD diagnosis was such a welcome conclusion to it all, and such an important milestone in my journey.   Now for the Endo consult waiting…
