Is there any tips on exercises eating habits to keep weight gain from estradiol off the body

Sure, but it depends on a lot of factors. I spend two to three hours in the gym every day doing body-building work then I do Zumba and ballroom dance for cardio. My diet is clean as I can get it, high in protien and low in carbs. I keep my sugar intake below 15g daily and drink water plus one caffiene-free diet pepsi in the evening if I've already downed my water requirement for the day. That works pretty well for me, I've lost one hundred pounds and I think I look fantastic.

What are your goals like? If you're just worried about weight gain, about eighty percent of that happens in the kitchen. Stop eating processed foods. Eat less salt because it makes you retain water. Cut out the pasta. Your metabolism on E wants you fatter so you can survive a pregnancy. A little of that is OK, but if you let it, you'll get runaway weight gain because as your weight goes up, your energy level goes down. Low energy leads to inactivity and inactivity leads to more weight gain.

The thing is: None of that helps if you're not ready to do it. It's super easy to fall off a diet or exercise plan, so if you're serious about changing your habits, find someone who will do it with you and hold you accountable.

Hugs!

I haven't had a problem maintaining my target weight on HRT.  But then I don't eat that much and also no carbs, process foods (except cheese), or carbonated  beverages.

Go to American Diabetes Association and look up a 1600 or 1800 calorie / day meal plan.  Their meal plans are fine for the non-diabetic members of their families as well as the diabetic since diabetes needs a balanced diet to work.

I was able to lose 60 pounds in the last decade through calorie reduction.  It does work, but starving yourself can be torture.  Hopefully you are really about just not gaining weight rather than losing it.

Besides just counting calories and keeping them lower, simply eating a diet high in vegetables helps a lot.  I've been eating mostly vegan and vegetarian curries for 5 years now and have been very successful with keeping my weight in check.  I've been doing more and more baking breads in the last couple years and that has my weight going slightly up.

I also recommend keeping salt on the lower end.  I've cut the salt in half in my curry recipes and it is really helping my blood pressure.  If you are doing most of your own cooking, measuring less salt is easy.

Sally, a moderator can edit the post adding "Post 3" if you would like. Let me know and I'll be glad to take care of it. That way your numbering system is in tact.   Hugs,   Mindy🌈🐛🏳️‍⚧️🦋

I thought Hey, I can't be experiencing Gender destroyer because it doesn't fit the narrative, but Hey I can. I am experiencing mild discomfort in relation to my gender. Because and that can be a form of mild form of it this forum because their elements of my gender that are out of alignment with my sign gender at birth. There are elements of my gender I have been holding back on some I did not even know for fear it did not fit was told was not very manly or in some other way not correct for someone who is an amab. I tried embracing and expressing some of these parts of me even for just a little bit every once in a while and it feels like a relief to me like a weight has been lifted.

Welcome to Transgender Pulse Forums @violet r   I think we all were scared with our first post here on TPF. I hope you come to find this site as welcoming as an old friend. Not knowing the type of retail you're in, it is hard to know how they will react to your coming out. I would hope that if it's part of a larger corporation they may have corporate policies supporting/protecting you once you decide to come out publicly. No one here will rush you, or try to slow you down, once you've decided to come out. Some of us are secret sisters, and others of us are as flamboyant as they come. The cool this is you get to choose. You be you.   Best wishes, stay positive, and motivated,   Mindy🌈🐛🏳️‍⚧️🦋

Welcome aboard, Violet. What a pretty name!   You are among friends here. We are all on a journey, with things in common despite our individual uniqueness. I hope that makes sense!

Welcome Violet.  It's been awhile since i found this space with so many who understand the struggle to simply be ourselves in a society that often disapproves,  It isn't an easy path but being together we can share all the bumps and the joys. You are not alone.   Hugs,   Charlize

I'm sorry it didn't work out for the new job. Nothing to keep you from being on the search. I had a coworker who used to walk out of the locker room saying; "I was looking for a job with I found this one and I'll keep searching for the next one. Never let them think you're comfortable and settled."   The coffee has just finished brewing, and we have a HVAC technician coming in about 30 minutes to do an annual system check.   It's time to get out of my Pj's.   Mindy🌈🐛🏳️‍⚧️🦋

@Sally Stone, I have enjoyed reading this thread immensely. There certainly are some things in it that I can relate to, particularly when you wrote that "I wasn’t a man trapped in a woman’s body." This simple statement confirmed two things for me; I am not an imposter here, and I could end up much further along the path than what I imagine now.   I very much look forward to your future posts here.   I hope that by posing this question I'm not committing you to spoil future posts, but can I ask, why you have settled on Bigender as a label? I keep changing my label and have no idea what it might be tomorrow or next week or next month!
