I'm not sure I'm at the right place to post, but I'm a non-binary person and looking for people to be friends with who are as well, and also friends with trans and any other gender non-conforming persons.

Hi & welcome @fable . I am nonbinary too. Please tell us more about yourself. How did you come to realize your nonbinary? How did that change how you present to the world? Have people in your life been accepting?

You'll find this is a very supportive and warm community. I hope you enjoy meeting folks here.

Welcome to Transgender Pulse Forums Fable,

I hope you find this site as helpful as I do. It's not therapy, but it's a close second, because there's always someone online here to share their experiences, and support.

Best wishes, stay positive, and motivated,

Welcome Fable.  Perhaps i could categorize myself as nonbinary as i certainly have some male characteristics after 63 years of doing my best to be male.  I'm glad you've joined us in this wonderful mix of non cis gendered individuals.

Hugs,

Charlize

Welcome to you, @fableI'm non-binary, too—and there's a lot more to being a human than gender identity, but trans folks live in a world of repression and self suppression. A safe place like this allows us to survive and to really thrive. To learn and help others. 💜

Hi, @fable!  Both trans and non-binary are large groupings that sometimes overlap! For example, I'm non-binary but 3+ years into HRT (long story), so I sometimes will speak of being "trans non-binary".

When you'd like, ask any questions you like or contribute to existing threads here...we are very supportive of each other.

With best wishes,

I'm always interested in individuals' distinction between "trans nonbinary" and "nonbinary". I consider myself trans first and foremost because I'm not cis. Then, I think of nonbinary as a qualifier meaning I neither ID as a woman nor a man. But, I also consider myself transmasc-ish, so another way in which "trans" resonates with me.

My distinctions are pretty much identical to yours, @Vidanjali.  The only difference is my AMAB origin, which means I would consider myself transfem-ish.  My deliberately imprecise place on the gender spectrum thus lies on the fem side; that's where I'm happiest.

Cheers,

Astrid

Well yesterday didn't work like I wanted to. I met a guy and started talking and he was wanting to be in a relationship. I asked my kids on how they thought of me dating a man and they said gross and said no. I guess it's time to look for women. I think that is going to be harder. Oh well I guess.

This topic reminds me of the lyrics to the Beatles song, "A Little Help From My Friends."   "What do you see when you turn out the lights?"   "I can't tell you but I know it's mine."   Carolyn Marie

@Ivy have you read the actual document?   Has anyone else out there read it?
    • Abigail Genevieve
I am reading the Project 2025 document https://www.project2025.org/policy/   This will take some time.  I read the forward and I want to read it again later.   I read some criticism of it outside here and I will be looking for it in the light of what has been posted here and there.  Some of the criticism is bosh.   @MaeBe have you read the actual document?

      *older, not holder, oops :P

      No problem!

Old topic, but I gotta say my favorites are: "Stop hitting on minors" (doesn't work if you're holder tho) and "Sure as [squid] not you"

Abigail, I think we will just leave the other posts where they are, and the discussion can start anew here.  It is possible to do what you ask, but would disrupt the flow of the discussion in the other thread, and would require more work than it's worth.   Carolyn Marie

I am in too good a mood to earn my certificate today. I am sure something will happen that will put me on the path to earning it.

It's likely most cis-women consider a fitting unnecessary "because they know what  they wear" and get used to the wrong size.  The instructions for what your size is are simple and why go to any further effort?  You measure your bandsize and you measure your max and subtract the two to get the needed info for the cup size.  Then you buy the same size for years until it hurts or something.

Congratulations Lorelei! Yes, it is a powerful feeling to have the documents that say "you are you".

Here is space for discussion on this, since the topic is large and could derail another thread SOMEBODY started.   Could some dear, sweet, kind Moderator pull everything related to this from the Voting for Trump thread and put it here?  I don't know if you can do that; I am the new girl on the block after all (blinks sweetly).
