Kawaii clothing

I’ve started getting getting into some kawaii fashion and just cutesy fashion.

I just got a hello kitty tracksuit and. Oversized Barbie logo shirt. I want to eventually add some more pastel kawaii clothes. I just want to wear and decorate my room to have a very innocent vibe to it.

I was thinking long term of getting these pink cheetah and graffiti heart leggings as my career will be in exercise science.

 

I have a friend who also likes kawaii clothing but is a music therapist major and says there’s much less stigma in that major which makes sense. I like the style even though there’s some stigma with it as some people find it childish sometimes. 

 

I’m not that worried about being taken serious or not in everyday life. I’m only concerned with being taken serious as a coach or personal trainer, in kawaii inspired active wear.

I think I’ll wear what I want no matter what at the end of the day. 
 

I’m just wondering if there is anyone else with experiences wearing kawaii clothes or anybody with any opinions on this, of any kind.

I've been looking at Lolita fashion for a little while now and have decided to order my first dress/shirt/shoes outfit. I think they're cute and look great. I think there are probably a lot of similarities from what you have said in that people put their own judgements on what you wear. I've been reading around and I can see that a lot of people get the same comments , "It's childish", "dress your age", "it looks awful"... So, I think it's quite common. But the answer to all of those is that it really isn't any of their business. You aren't hurting anyone and it makes you happy! Wear what you want.

 

People will judge and some people may not take you seriously. I honestly think that is showing their issues rather than you doing anything wrong. What you do as a coach will speak for you, rather than what you wear.
