Hello,

I've been on a bit of a self discovery journey over the last few years. Mostly trying to come to terms with who I am. I think I'm slowly getting there. I've wanted to wear women's clothes since I was young, but with everyone around me telling me that it's wrong, weather directly or indirectly, it's been hard to come to terms with. I'm also learning that although this is a big part of who I am, it's just one of many parts. Even so, I've found it to be very isolating and that's why I am here to learn more and make friends.

I hope to talk to more of you soon. Thank you.

Welcome to TransPulseForums Kira,

Take the time to look around, jump in on some treads, and friendly supportive people will respond.

I hope you find this site as helpful as I do... It's not therapy, but it's close.

Best wishes, stay positive, and motivated,

Welcome to Trans Pulse, Kira.  The slow and steady approach is often the best, when it comes to figuring all of this out, or, as you all are fond of saying, "sorting it."  😋  It is also not uncommon for others to discourage cross dressing or experimenting, but I suppose they just want to keep you safe.

Please ask whatever questions come to mind, and have a look at the many threads and posts that probably already contain the answers you're looking for.  We'll be happy to help.

HUGS

Carolyn Marie

Welcome, kira_k!

I too found my questioning years to be terribly self-isolating. I could go as far as to say that most of my life was self-isolating. This Forum has certainly helped to alleviate that feeling of self-isolation. Stick around! I think you'll find the Forum to be a warm and magical place.

Cheers!

Rianon

Hello Kira,

I'm new as well and wanted to say hello. In my early days, I found the best way to find to self acceptance was by reading books on the subject. Knowing that millions of others felt the same way I did helped me a great deal. Peggy Rudd has some great books on the subject and one that helped me a lot was "Crossdressing with Dignity". My sister gave it to me after I came out to her and it's definitely worth reading as well as her other books. Take care and be well.

Hi Jessica,

It's very nice of you to do so. I will definitely have a look at that book. Thank you for the recommendation.

You take care too

Welcome kira_k I was stationed in RAF Mildenhall England March 2004-March 2007. It's pretty there. I was there for three years. I enjoyed every moment. I started off crossdressing at an early age. My current wife gave me the confidence to come out as trans and unfortunately losing her but tired of living a secret. Hugs

      *older, not holder, oops :P

      No problem!

Old topic, but I gotta say my favorites are: "Stop hitting on minors" (doesn't work if you're holder tho) and "Sure as [squid] not you"

Abigail, I think we will just leave the other posts where they are, and the discussion can start anew here.  It is possible to do what you ask, but would disrupt the flow of the discussion in the other thread, and would require more work than it's worth.   Carolyn Marie

I am in too good a mood to earn my certificate today. I am sure something will happen that will put me on the path to earning it.

It's likely most cis-women consider a fitting unnecessary "because they know what  they wear" and get used to the wrong size.  The instructions for what your size is are simple and why go to any further effort?  You measure your bandsize and you measure your max and subtract the two to get the needed info for the cup size.  Then you buy the same size for years until it hurts or something.

Congratulations Lorelei! Yes, it is a powerful feeling to have the documents that say "you are you".

Here is space for discussion on this, since the topic is large and could derail another thread SOMEBODY started.   Could some dear, sweet, kind Moderator pull everything related to this from the Voting for Trump thread and put it here?  I don't know if you can do that; I am the new girl on the block after all (blinks sweetly).

I will have arrived when I have a b*tch certificate of my own.  I think someone called me one once.

Good morning everyone,   It’s Thursday well as least I took my Thursday Medications as sorted out in my weekly dispensary caddy. Today’s coffee is Folgers Breakfast Blend served HOT, black and strong. My wife and I are going to explore the Western and Southern coasts of Saginaw Bay and hang out in Bay City, MI. today.    @Willowonce @Abigail Genevievepointed out the word usage in your post. I read it and laughed, enjoying the snarky tone of the comment. Since it was spelled correctly I thought maybe you meant for it to read just as you typed it. Then the kinder gentler me thought it would be better if I changed it. I’m not saying I corrected it, I just changed the severity of the sentence.    Hugs,   Mindy🌈🐛🏳️‍⚧️🦋
