I do my best not to hate those who act so hatefully.  It gets harder with all this going on.  We had difficulties when Christi was governor in NJ as i went through legal transition but i'm glad to say that the GOP and it's misguided hatred is not in power here.

Hopefully they will read the last 5 words of the Pledge of Allegiance and stop the politically motivated hate.

This is their ONE escape route from a room they have built for themselves.  They have to show meaningful governance to be re-elected and stay in what they consider to be power.  Addressing the actual problems of homelessness, bad infrastructure, actual danger to young people by people in positions of ill-gotten trust, deteriorating education, the classism among the Caucasian population which is as terrible as racism and even more rampant (self destruction really) but Transgender people, especially "impressionable children" are the neck of the bottle they find themselves in with an opening to at least keep their sort on top of the game. Sad.

It's really sad because if these states actually cared about transgender children, they would make sure the "WPATH Standards of Care for the Health of Transgender and Gender Diverse People" were being properly followed, and that children were going through the proper amount of therapy and involvement of their parents before moving ahead in the transgender process, as well as identifying if there are other issues that are instead affecting their behavior.

 

Nope, instead they are just banning gender-confirming care outright, going after the children in the guise of "protecting them" before expanding those restrictions to cover adults as well.

 

They aren't even pretending their goals are anything about protecting children anymore.  It's just wordplay for their legislative hate.
