I told my team

This morning I told the whole team I work with about my trans past.  I've had a few positive virtual pats on the back, The rest are being a bit shy.  I am glad I did this as now I can drive positivity in our software (background checking) to make it more trans healthy.  There are a few issues I have already highlighted to our project leader.  So I think they have a good chance of being pushed through to completion.  I think this will take some time though as we are already fully booked for the foreseeable future.  I hope to represent us in this company.

So its been 10 days since my confession.  lol.  I have had not a single bad comment or negative response from anyone I told.  I have instead had nothing but praise and support.  There have been no awkward questions or any questions at all really.  I may as well have told them I used to own a particular car, I have had a few conversation along the lines of "how are you following your announcement".  As far as I can tell no one saw this coming or had clocked me which is either because they are being polite or because it's true.  I guess I'll never know that one.  I don't suspect everyone will have such an easy time if they chose to do this but at least know it can be for the best.
