Breast development

Hi all, I've been on hrt for about5 months now, I'm not sure if I'm starting to develop or not? The top pic is with an a cup bra, the next 3 are without a bra an the next is with the bra and breast inserts.  The bottom 2 are of me taken on holiday about 6 years ago before I even thought about taking hrt? I've always had a bit of a man boob going on although covered with hair lol. So I don't know if im starting to develop or not? I must say that my nipples hurt a bit and at the moment feel a bit itchy and feel a bit harder underneath them. Is this normal and has anybody had the same experience? Ps. Sorry if any of these pictures offended anyone,  I just wanted to compare now and then, thanks, hugs and kisses 🥰

I was on a low dose of E fro a good while, and was kinda disappointed with boobage.    We did eventually increase the dose.  At this time the dose is actually a little on the high side from what I've seen online.

The girls are not all that impressive, but they are there.

At this time I use a B cup bra when I wear one.

Your age also has a lot to do with things.  I'm in my mid 70's.

I've been on E (low dose at first) for 5-6 years now.

I think it has gone quite slow for me, and I was a bit disappointed for a time.

I saw this youtube recently.  You might be interested.

There are no guarantees when it comes to breast development.

I have been on a low-to-moderate dose for seven years.  Most of my development occurred in the first year, though they did continue to grow slo-o-owly for a while after that.  The lingerie store measured me as a 38A, but only because there is no such thing as a 38AA!  In fact, since none of the 38A bras in the store would fit me, I wear a 36B.

At this point, I am probably up to an honest 38A.  I would have preferred a B, but I'll take what I can get.  They are cute.  In fact, given the widespread public impression that all trans women have massive hooters, having little breasts is good camouflage.

LOL.   I hadn't thought of that.

They're small, but quite real.  And huge boobs are not necessarily such a good thing.  They can be a real pain in the… back.

I find when using a 40A cup bra, I need to put the forms in which gives me a nice shape, although if I put a 38B cup bra on what breasts I have fill it out better but I don't get my desired size/shape?

After 1.5 years on estradiol and 6 mo on progesterone I am a full shaped A-cup (getting fairly close to B-cup I believe).

I am happy with what I have.  I don't plan on breast implants and just use fashion and the 'laws of physics' to accentuate what I do have.  But it is truly personal preference and to-each-her-own.

I think that breast growth is influenced by a person's unique body type. For me, being quite slim and flat-chested meant that my breasts developed into what we affectionately call "little lemons" in my country. After five years, I decided to have breast augmentation surgery, which brought me to a C cup, and they haven't changed since then, even though I've been on a regular estradiol regimen for 24 years. I'm interested in your experience with progesterone. What have you noticed?

I was a 36B without estrogen, with my right cup not quite filled. Now I'm a solid 34C, loss of muscle mass and increased cup volume, but next to no cleavage after nearly a year on E2. I really do want larger breasts, but mostly want them to round out and get some obvious cleavage. With a typical tshirt bra I have a feminine figure, I think.

I started out with 42C and grew to a 42D so far. Yes it's normal. They look more grown. It is amazing to see mine grow and they aren't done yet. I have been on HRT for 16 months.

Good for you.

I'm jealous.  I've been on HRT about 5yrs now, and am doing good to fill a B cup brassiere.  But I was on a low dose in the beginning.

yet ironically for me synthetic hormones produced the best outcome, i am very cautious under the current climate (and movement against the existence of transgender) We seem to have moved from the reason why we are taking hormone therapy and now as i call it in the UK we play the numbers game we seem to have become trapped in a range game (female range) rather than our real reason is to align our bodies not to match a female hormonal range .

Finally got my butt out of the house again.  I'd been hiding at home for at least a week - other than the grocery store and getting propane for the heaters. I've just been really depressed to be honest.  I should stop looking at the news. I made myself go to the coffee shop to hang out around people for a bit.

Yeah, I'm for the right one myself.  Looks a bit more natural to me - just my opinion of course.

Mom finding more older pictures of me from the past. One was me dressed as tv show character Peg Bundy, this was in 1999 and I got a lot of attention from it.I remembered it too was out with friends going to a halloween  party.

I shall absolutely flip there is nothing more annoying in my book than someone calling you the wrong gender or using the wrong pronouns specially when said person knows what the correct ones are and has done for six years

Welcome Jenna.  Life can so many factors shape our journeys.  Finding peace and the acceptance of the journey as it comes are one of the results of my opening up here and working with a therapist. You are certainly not alone in your journey!   Hugs   Charlize

Hello there @Jenna Cornelius, welcome aboard. You belong here.   As April said, your questions about gender identity are something that most of us have dealt with or continue to deal with. You are not the only one to feel the need to define yourself. I have changed the gender description on my forum profile half a dozen times since I've been here!

I would choose the photo on the right. It just seems nicer, and Maeve, surely it is a better depiction of how you normally look? I understand the thing about whether you are allowed to smile or not, but if you could get away with using that one, please do so!    The one on the left does look a little bit like a mugshot in my opinion. But if that is what you prefer to use, more power to badass you! 😆   By the way, I'm so happy for you that you are continuing to ride a wave of elation after officially changing your name! ❤️
