Who Is Your Favorite Movie Martial Artist?

If I could pick only one it's definately Tony Jaa, no wires required!

I am going to have to go with Jet LI all the way. Also he is the real deal. He used to fight in tournaments before he got into the movie biz. Jackie Chan is great at choreographing funny fight sequences, which is mad cool.

i'd have to say jackie chan, he's adorable, funny, and does his own stunts, sometimes getting really hurt in the process, now that's manly!

Jet Li, Tony Jaa, and Chow Yun Fat. Those would be my top 3

I do like Jackie Chan for his silliness. Not a fan of bruce lee, though I do admire him for his skill.

I notice that while we have seen so many of the big stars no one has mentioned Steven Seagal is it over his limited acting abilities or his general lack of conditioning?

My favorites include Bruce Lee, Chuck Norris, David Carradine, Tom Laughlin and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar!

Yes, Kareem made a martial arts film with Brice Lee because Bruce was so impressed with Kareem's abilities and the grace of movement, agility and quickness from such a big man.

Love ya,

Sally

Hi Hun,

Got to go with Bruce Lee. I heard he was so quick

the film had to be "slowed down" on playback , if you

know what I mean. Any way, for me he ruled, Luv,viv :)

Steven Seagal!...no no seriously.

Jackie Chan. I think he did some amazing stuff in those old movies, and hey....he actually could fight and talk at the same time. Amazing I know.

Jet Li would be right behind him...he's also not bad at the fighting and talking thing...amazing.

Just cause it's an action movie doesn't mean that you shouldn't know how to act. Or am I asking for too much?

Is it martial arts?

One and only = Jason Statham. He makes the genre worthwhile for me.

Bruce Lee is the G.O.A.T. (Greatest of all Time)...he whooped Norris' butt for reals in the movie they did together, i think i heard he broken something, like a rib, or arm or something. Bruce Lee without hesitation!

Jet Li or Jackie Chan are the ones I like to watch the most. I love to watch the out takes after the movie is over with Jackie Chan. He always does his own stunts and always messes up.

Bruce Lee by far! He always seemed to have been real to me. Jackie Chan is cool but Bruce Lee is just absolutely insane to watch fight.

I used to love Seagal something fierce. His first three movies rocked. Then he got stupid. That being said, I'm a big fan of Jet Li.

Well, if dad is paying for it, I guess he has some say so on the issue, but little does he know how fun some Enby's can be.  If he gets to know a few -------- but I guess he won't.  His loss entirely.  I feel bad, but for now you are having the right attitude about it.

Beautiful photo. In a couple of weeks, it should be sunny like that once the June gloom is gone.

Naturally, I've been wondering whether there are any entries in the 63 pages (currently) of this thread that involve a Rubber Chicken.   Search claims that to not be the case, but I have my doubts, given the stealthiness of Rubber Chickens, and how friends have surprised me with them! 🙂   Astrid

(Disclaimer: I am not out to my family because they are against anything LGBTQ related)   So it was a normal family dinner with me and my family sitting down to some dang good soup I'd slaved over today. The topic of conversation? My wedding. Personally, I'd like to get married someday, so I was joking with my brother that because he wasn't being nice to me that he was no longer invited.   Then, suddenly, out of the blue, my father chimes in with: "You can't invite any nonbinary people".   I'm silent out of shock (Because how does he even know that word!?!?!?) The rest of my family are silent, but soon start asking questions.   Turns out, he'd seen on the news today that Jonathan Van Ness from Queer Eye came out as nonbinary.  I probably should have found it hurtful, or have been scared, but to be honest, I just laughed. Even if it was an inappropriate moment to do so.  Because he said that to me, who identifies as a nonbinary gender. Who would be the one of the two people that the wedding is all about. God, if he knew. 😅 Guess I'm not allowed to be invited to my own wedding anymore!

In my experience you find good people when you are happy confident and okay being alone. When you are like that it’s like you share the best of yourself. You give off an awesome vibe and people like that. That’s when I’ve always met my long relationships.    Being trans is unfortunately something with negative connotations. So are lots of things. But people find partners that love them for who they are. There are no limiting factors. And you never know who that person could be. So all anyone can do is live. Be yourself and be your best. And not worry about it. I’d hate to be sad about it forever just waiting. I’d just go live life. And be me.

Good evening from here, sipping coffee after dinner, tastes great, and glad to be home after 13 days on the road down and up the west coast. Here is a pic I took from across the marina in SD and hotel complex I stayed at in the background...

Wonderful.  I'm glad you enjoyed the experience.

Litha (midsummer, summer solstice) approaches. This Saturday, the sun will be at its strongest, longest day.    The full moon Esbat is now, tonight.    Which means that the representative full masculine power of God (summer solstice)and the representative full feminine power of God (Full  moon)  will be the closest they come together astronomically and astrologically this year.   My mind has moved in interesting directions over the past few days.  The goddess calls...   Will attend a Litha Fire festival this weekend to celebrate.

By all means stop looking, but do not put words into other people's mouths. I've heard all 4 of those lines too, along with the classic, "it would feel weird being more than friends with you" and a few others.  Just enjoy being yourself, if you do not think you are worth the time why should anyone else? (a lesson I have recently learnt/still learning).   I'd bet you have plenty of good qualities, heck get some cats if you have really given up on people - but if you are strong enough to transition then you are strong enough to find more to look forward in your life than just skipping to the end of the book.
    • Raven1981
I am with you DeeDee.  Even before transitioning, I was always put into the friend zone.  Then I just hated these famous lines I was told.   1. Your too much of a friend to be a relationship person.   2. You have just not found the right person yet.   3. There is plenty of fish in the sea.   4, You dont have to date, cause your not the dating type of person.   All these lines I just hate with a passion.  They are all just the nice way of saying get away your ugly and I dont like you.   That's why I am just giving up and will just die lonely and alone
