What Kind Of Church Don't You Attend.

Recommended Posts

Guest SuperKali

I subscribe strictly to the "What-If" theory. I've never been religous. I have attended churches for MANY religions. But my own personal beliefs are not associated with any of them. I walk the right path on my own.

That works. I have a similar way, but I believe that religion can be a great way to focus upon the Creation of OVERYTHING - and it follows - a CREATOR.

Sometimes I feel it could be a circular thing - the creator created us so we could create the Creator. Or that we are all the CREATOR, but just a splinter part - and eventually we all reassemble. OR the grand argument - "There HAS to be something about existing - or else we would not!"

So me? Methodist, Catholic and Wiccan - mixed in with my innate spirituality, and my old soul - GOD what a mix! PUN INTENDED.

It seems like, for those of us who are posting here, walking our own path is a common thread. I walk my own trail that blends facets from many places into a whole which works for me.

I do believe in the Bible. I have found through my years of searching, that Bilical truths mirror my Native American spiritual beliefs. As for chuch....I don't attend. I find that most churches are to tied into being religious and legalistic vs. having a very real spiritual, intimate relationship with Great Spirit, God the Creator. God is Spirit. We have to worship in Spirit. Just my belief.

I'm an empirical rationalist with no time for concepts like gods or souls. I am, however, psychologically disposed towards religion. This combination pretty much demands a lone path.

I do have a church, but only online; there aren't enough of us in one place to have otherwise. And I don't like the First One very much, so I rarely go there.

Non denominational Christian Church. Basically one that gets its beliefs strictly from the Bible and doesnt have the corporate hiearchy that some churches have. I am a very firm believer that God sent his son Jesus to walk among us and he died on a cross and rose again. I believe that Jesus gave us a new testament to live from and the old testament is just historical reference.

I come from a Catholic family but most people in my family are vehemently anti-religious. In my personal understanding

of spirituality over the years I have come a long way, for a long time I was bitterly angry at and institution I thought to be

the cause of many wars. However I have changed my mind and come to the thinking that religion is one of many things

unfairly, demonised- it is not religion that causes war but people.

Now I've come to find myself envious of people with religion in there heart, I think to have faith is a beautiful thing.

I believe in some thing wether that is cause and effect, Karma or simply that people are good, but in groups they can be

dangerous.

sorry not sure how clear that is

I believe in a power greater than me and I call him/her God. Thre are billions of galaxies out there, ours being a bit small. I believe one day we will realise how powerful god Really is. I do not belong to any religion except the feeling in mt heart that there is a god.

Welcome, Tali. I'm so glad you found the courage to say hello to TransPulse. I hope you find this a welcoming and informative place, and a safe place to just be yourself. I also have social anxiety and have found life my complicated with my transgender issues. But, I have found support here, and I'm fortunate to have a few people in my life who accept me. I hope you also find the support you want/need as you make your journey, which will provide happiness too. The happiness will come!!   Gwen

It sounds like you have a good plan for the future and are getting through the present difficulties with a grace that deserves praise.  I remember the humiliation of being called by my male name in crowded waiting rooms.  Those times were instrumental in getting me to make the necessary steps to change my legal status. HRT and living as yourself are certainly major steps along your journey as is finding a style that works well and makes you feel comfortable as yourself. Thanks for the update and happy birthday!   Hugs,   Charlize

Hi Mary,   I have slightly more than 20 good trans female friends that I speak with on at least a weekly basis. I have never felt alone and if I really need someone to talk to there is always someone nearby. My friends situation is very different. Don't know what the stats are but there appear to be far less FTM than MTF humans out there. That is stating the friend situation only for him. Now, since he's attracted to cis females, the numbers diminish even further. No clue for how many cis women are looking for transmales  but the number seems to be like really really low. So, to me, online dating is a no brainer.  I've checked a few places and the suggestions on dating sites are not many.   Good for you doing the online dating thing. I as well think we should be up front about who we are and I also think it can be safe providing that common sense is used       I really appreciate your view,   Tess

Thanks Vicky. Some people like very much to be part of a couple, me being one of them. Good luck at your weddings!!!

Hi Tali, one thing that helped me was getting out of the house and meeting others. My family members all responded differently  to it. My nephews were pretty much a shrug. It took time for some to come to terms with it too.   Welcome to Transpulse!  hugs, Marcie

Sounds like you are doing very well.  Back when I started things out on the name change, I could not do the gender change until after GCS.  Several months after my GCS and all the changes for me made, they changed the laws -- for the better -- so I would not have had the long drawn out  program that I had to do.  Keep your head high and you will make it, and laugh about all of the hassle.
