I recently bought a pair of breast forms with an adhesive on the backs of them, and I haven't seen any information about taking care of them. Does anyone have any advice on maintains the adhesive?

If these are the silicone sticky forms, they should have had a plastic backing piece on them which you need to put back on them between uses.  If they start losing their sticky surface, wash them using a liquid face or hand soap all over, but put the backing on them, and when dry the sticky stuff will stick again.  If you have lost the backing, you can make a new one from plastic sandwich bags.  That will happen maybe 30 or 40 times before it wears out completely.  There are also the silicone strips that you can buy separately that will do the same thing after the original stuff does wear out.

I bought my breast forms from Janet's Closet. The first set was the Triangle Tatas in 48D these are silicon forms that can be glued on using the Hollister Medical Glue (which I prefer) or in the packet bras. With them being glued on you can actually feel the weight of the breasts pulling on the body and boy do they bounce like real breasts. The down side is that you cannot sleep with them on and when taking them off you have "Gently" peel them off as you can rip the membrane. I then bought a set of foam forms, I didn't like them. I then bought a set forms that you could sleep in. nice to wear but have to use a water based glue which runs when you perspire.

I am in the process of putting up some money to buy a set of Aphrodites, these you can sleep in and are glued on using the medical glue.

I actually get mine from a German online store, which can be quite expensive but worth every penny. They sometimes also have them on eBay auctions, so when mine are getting tired, and they do last for years, I start to look out for the size and shape I like on their auctions, then set myself a top price limit and bid up to that. If I lose the auction, there is usually another in a day or so and I am able to get top quality (expensive) forms for a very reasonable price.

Here here Paula Playtex, I too don’t need breast forms, just over 4 months on hormone treatment and I’m spilling out of a B cup and into  a C cup ? my GP thinks I will top out around an E or F cup as my mother and 2 sisters are G, GG and H.

l love how mine feel now and how they sit when I’m lying in bed x

i just dont want my ariolas to get much bigger, they already look huge x

I wish we had an eBay or online anything at the time I was really interested in these breast forms.  Back in the 80's, I bought nearly every type of foam, weighted foam, and silicone breast forms that were available.  The only type I never tried was the silicone forms that stick temporarily onto your chest.  They were advertised as feeling like real breasts when you walk.  I used to buy my forms at a local prosthesis shop here in the. Seattle area and they always steered me away from these.  Their main reason was that I was upfront with them and let them know that I wanted to be able to sleep wearing them too.

Over the years, I had spent a fortune on different sizes of the silicone forms because no  matter what price point they were at, they always started leaking after a year or so due to the weight of sleeping while wearing them (I sleep on my stomach).  I'm curious if anyone else ever tried the silicone "stick on" breast forms?  It's too late for me to try them now but I'm wondering if I missed out when I was younger.

Hi Susan.  I have various forms, but my favorite that I wear daily are the “natural stick “ silicone forms. Very happy with them.

My go-to forms are "Pals."  They are soft like silicone but they won't leak because they are not a gel.  They are also great for sleeping, because you can't burst them or damage them.  In fact, they can even be cut or trimmed to obtain the perfect shape.  I love them.

Hugs,

I bought a pair of C-cups from Boobsshop, I absolutely love them. They look and feel realistic, but I would never have imagined how hard it can be to keep the velcro in Place.

But every problem has its own solution I guess.  :)

I have had a few sets from the Breast Form store and always loved the feel.

Don't cheap out with items like this buy quality and you will have many years of use out of them.

I have one set I have had for 12 years and they are still in great shape.

I guess one shouldn't feel blessed to have gynecomastia but I'm sitting here in a lovely unpadded underwire brassiere with seamless C cups that are filled with MY breasts.  I've definitely looked a breast forms over the years, perhaps indulging my fantasies without making an investment, either in forms or brassieres.  But this year I tried a few brassieres from E-Bay and discovered that a good underwire brassiere puts everything where it belongs.  I'm not especially overweight, so this is doubtless the combination of gynecomastia and diminished testosterone that has come with getting older.  I guess in this one department I should be grateful for small miracles.  I certainly enjoyed the feeling of a brassiere on my breasts this afternoon as I ran errands... wearing an over shirt, of course.  They were my little secret...

hi gals!

im new here but i found this thread right off the bat.

i used to use rice in a stocking and while they werent terrible they werent ideal.  biggest drawback is as they warmed and i started to sweat, they smelled.  like rice.  cooking...

i purged those with all of my clothes and lingerie and shoes about 5 years ago.  im slowly adding stuff back but i dont really want to go as far with it as i had been but i wanted nice boobs so i got a pair at Janet's Closet dot com.

hope i dont get in trouble for naming a business but they do a bang up job with CDs and TGs.

the only real drawback to the breast forms on the market that i can tell is the silicone is too hard.  most women's breasts are NOT as firm as these seem to be.  oh, if id had a girlfriend or two in school who had boobs like these, id have been in heaven!  id like to have a more pliable substance but yes, PROPER forms are very important!

So at least they smelled nice? Maybe not what I would have picked for a fragrance... I naturally smell of vanilla apparently... but it's not a BAD smell.

That's a good point about the silicone used in breast forms, my natural (if tiny) breasts are soft. My spouse's breasts and all the other breasts I've encountered in the wild, also soft. I'm told that implants can have that firmer texture to them, but I've never encountered any personally.

Finally, a point of etiquette: We have a bunch of differently gendered people on the site and we like to be inclusive. If you can, please try to use more gender inclusive language in your posts. "Hi Friends" at the beginning of your post would have been lovely.

In any case, welcome to Transgenderpulse! We're glad you're here!

Hugs!

I rarely wear forms anymore, preferring to wear bras more suited to my natural A/B moobs instead of larger cup bras filled with forms which satisfied my constant urges at that time.

When I did buy my D-cup forms I made sure that they were a quality item instead of some cheap, hard unrealistic rubbish. I even went with triangle shape instead of teardrop shape, taking the advice that the ones I bought were more concave against the body to cater for moobs and gave a more natural look once encapsulated in a bra. I never used adhesive or a pocketed bra, preferring M-frame wirefree bras with wide straps for a retro look. They made me look sensational, if I do say so myself. I love the way that they warmed up and jiggled, too. I stll have them and wear them very occasionally at home, but only for fun.

I bought them online from a store specializing in CD makeovers and I didn't care abvout the cost. Not sure where they originally sourced them from, but compared to a cheap novelty Size 8 or G-cup pair I bought later on from amazon, they really are a quality item and worth every cent. I'm not into passing in public, but if I was, they would be very convincing.

I've just ordered some new breast forms as the last pair (my first pair) were too big and hadn't quite figured out what I wanted. I also bought a new bra, something a bit more modern and would fit the new breast forms.

So far, I've found finding good breasts forms and bras very difficult. I've been told to go and get measured professionally, but I'm not fully out yet so would find that difficult.

So, anyway, in my case more expensive forms probably wouldn't pay until I've settled on what I want.

Places that will do that for you are VERY accepting and non-judgmental about helping your choose a good shape and size, just let them know and they will give you a private appointment.

You make some good points, AYS.  But there are usually already too many ballot propositions each election, so the proponents know it's best to wrap it all up into a nice package.  Plus, it's easier for the signature gatherers.  Otherwise they have to have a separate clipboard for each proposition.  Too much paperwork, dontcha know?   This kind of proposition is a loser in CA, so the only possible way the proponents can succeed is to give it the scariest title imaginable and try to put one over on the voters before they get wise.  Bottom line; an ice cube on a hot summer sidewalk has a better chance of success.   Carolyn Marie

Reading that article, it seems like the attorney general gets to call it whatever unless its an outright lie.  Given the nature of politics in CA, it seems like one side has the bully pulpit for sure.  Labeling it "Restricts Rights" vs "Protects Kids" is very much a matter of perspective.  Unfortunately, that matters since many voters don't bother to read.  Perhaps a better (unbiased) way to handle it would be to simply give the ballot measure a number with no title, forcing folks to read it.    I think it would have been better to handle the various issues covered by the ballot measure separately, rather than all at once.  For example, issues relating to disclosure of medical and social information to parents.  That could be its own ballot measure, rather than lumped in with everything else.  Besides, shorter and more succinct measures are more likely to be read completely.

This reminded me of an individual who, due to child sexual abuse, lived as a woman for 15 years, detransitioned and noisily insists that all trans people have his story.  His name comes up fairly often because it fits the narrative.   I don't know that anyone actually has been railroaded.  People may say it, they may look back at what happened and decide that happened.  It's a he said / she said, but it feeds a narrative that is useful for those who are already convinced that trans people are abuse victims first and foremost.  That the detransition rate is so low tells me that railroading is not actually a problem, and I regret giving the impression that I thought it was.  That so few detransition is a success story.   What is pertitent at heart is that people hear and believe all the stories out there, and the story we have to tell is not heard, because TG folk are, after all, untrustworthy in their view and unworthy of an audience.  Somehow it needs to get out there as to what the real situation is.

I'm not saying that Christianity is wrong but at the same time there were more than 30,000 changes to it. The Bible doesn't state anything against transgender. The only point that can be proven by them is that people are giving into their desire. 1 John 2:15-17 ESV "Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world—the desires of the flesh and the desires of the eyes and pride of life—is not from the Father but is from the world. And the world is passing away along with its desires, but whoever does the will of God abides forever." I would love to challenge them by asking who watches a movie, reads books, and listens to music that isn't Christian based because then they would be guilty as well. 1 Corinthians 10:31 ESV "So, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God. Probably not a single hand would still stand that they don't participate in everything they do gives glory to God. "

@Abigail GenevieveSomewhere in the Forums here, we have a link to the World Professional Association for Transgender Health's Standards Of Care, now at revision 8 but it is available in plenty of places.   https://www.wpath.org/soc8.    These are the canons for the allied medical fields that deal with Trans people and are the guidance for those professionals.  I personally know members of the Association and have toyed with the idea of becoming an associate member since I am not a medical professional but because I like to keep on top of what is going on medically.  There are a number of Trans people who think they are overly oppressive as far as the gatekeeping goes, but the medical / psychological profession members who follow these guidelines for there patients WILL NOT be forcing their patients into unneeded or harmful surgery or medications.  I read my first pitiful and heart-rending  "detransitioning" story 60 years ago when I snuck a tabloid newspaper behind a comic book down at the neighborhood convenience store when I was 16 years old and reading it off the rack which should have been adult only.  I am afraid that it was the first thing I ever read that told me about Trans and Transsexual people, it would be another 30 years before I actually figured out my own story.  The story I later found out, was NOT written by a Trans person, but a well known Porn scribbler who wrote many fantastic and gory stories about what he thought Trans people were.  We are not anything like his imagination, but he was a "press agent" for Trans people of the time.  We do have some well known and noisy, negative view Detransitioners who have been found to have gone to multiple psychologists and lied their way Transitioning, one of the most infamous actually hid Dissociative Identity Disorder, right therapist wrong Identity that was being counseled.  It is a messy story.  The public, like my first encounter, was NOT getting their information from the scientific journals of the time, they were getting it from Adult Entertainment and Tabloids   We need to be careful of where we get some of our ideas from. Evidence is good that the person at the heart of this thread gets most of his information from us from the slanted and non-scientific sources most people get theirs.   OOPs, I( may have sent this off track here, but but but.

Well the VA tried setting me up with another appointment with laser even though they won't cover it? This just doesn't make sense. Back to the waiting game on electrolysis. I'm in a area that doesn't do much of that. There is one place that covers face only. There is another one that looks like they do it in their home. Other than that it's it for nearby. I don't think they are wanting to do it due to how expensive it's going to be. Typical VA stuff dragging their feet.
