Hello. My name is Chloe. Now to try and introduce myself.

As far as "How long have I know?", I don't remember not knowing that I was a woman/girl. Long before I had a name for it, I knew I was transsexual.

I grew up in a Mormon Household in the very progressive and open minded state of Alabama so I have spent my entire life hiding who I was. I had pretty much convinced myself that I could move on and never act on it, when I met a couple of friends who have helped me more than they will know. So, I have finally come out of the closet (somewhat) to them and really to myself. (One of them actually approached me about it, which led to the discussion of how I really straw inhaler at hiding it, and should just embrace it.) So, I have only recently made the decision to start this transition, but I am elated, and in better spirits than I have been in a long time. I can't wait!!

Basics:

I'm 24. (The 42 in my name isn't an age. It is the answer to Life, the Universe, and everything. It is a send-up to my true geekyness) MtF.

So, I look forward to getting to better know this community, as what I have seen so far is very encouraging and supportive.

It's a word filter issue. It's like what you do when you use a straw and inhale....

I didn't like the new movie, to be honest >_> I mean, it followed the books OK, but... I didn't like it :/ I thought they messed up Ford and Trillian's characters.

I have read all the books, seen the old tv show, listened to the original radio show, and spent years waiting on the movie to finally be finished, only to be slightly disappointed.

Of course, you have to look at the collection of works, and realize that every incarnation is slightly different, so can't be too upset.

Did you know that the USS Enterprise (NCC-1701-D) has 42 decks? The Trekkies/Trekkers love Douglas Adams too! I'm a die-hard Trek fan, so I guess that makes me a nerd too. I've read Hitchhikers Guide and seen both the BBC mini-series and the movie. Time is scares right now, but I'm hoping to get to read some of Douglas Adams other stuff. Feel free to send recommendations my way!
