Staff Member Karen Hofstetter Died

It is with great sadness I announce the death of our former chat director Karen Hofstetter from testicular cancer. Karen was chat director for nearly five

years and often went over the 24 hours in a day mark quite often. Not only was Karen dedicated to our members in crisis but she often fought tooth and nail for regulations she thought was right as well as for her members. I spent many hours in debate with her almost daily. I considered her a friend and I will miss her.

We have set up a memorial page for her here: http://www.lauras-playground.com/Karen_H_Memorial.htm

What a cruel, cruel irony to die of a disease that she should never have had, but because of circumstances of her birth that she couldn't help, she succumbed to it.

Rest in peace, Karen. Whether we do go on to another place after death or not, you're at peace, a well-deserved peace.

Oh my god and I never really thanked her enough for when she helped me that one night I was trying to hurt myself. Karen you will be missed so much. You are in a better place and I want you to know that your help kept many from ending it. Thank you so much and may you rest in peace. At least now we know you will be who you are up there :) God bless you.

Laura,

My condolences. It is sad to hear that cancer has claimed another life too soon. I am sadened that I will never get to know her and it seems that she did many good works here and in other places too. We all need to remember her and take some of her with us and go help someone in need today.

Peace & Love Amanda Joan

I didn't know Karen very well, talked to her a few times. She helped me with a crisis just a couple of times. But still helped me out. She is missed. Even by me.

Karen, thank you for everything. I don't know where you are now but I am sure it's a better place. I hope you get to be the real you too. I'll be thinking about you. *hugs* You are missed.

Love Lee.

I need to come on more often.

Karen helped me through a lot. She was an amazing person and I'm sad to hear that she is not with us anymore. To anyone who may have been close to her, I wish you the best.

This is a month late, but Rest in Peace<3

This topic reminds me of the lyrics to the Beatles song, "A Little Help From My Friends."   "What do you see when you turn out the lights?"   "I can't tell you but I know it's mine."   Carolyn Marie

@Ivy have you read the actual document?   Has anyone else out there read it?
    • Abigail Genevieve
I am reading the Project 2025 document https://www.project2025.org/policy/   This will take some time.  I read the forward and I want to read it again later.   I read some criticism of it outside here and I will be looking for it in the light of what has been posted here and there.  Some of the criticism is bosh.   @MaeBe have you read the actual document?

      *older, not holder, oops :P

      No problem!

Old topic, but I gotta say my favorites are: "Stop hitting on minors" (doesn't work if you're holder tho) and "Sure as [squid] not you"

Abigail, I think we will just leave the other posts where they are, and the discussion can start anew here.  It is possible to do what you ask, but would disrupt the flow of the discussion in the other thread, and would require more work than it's worth.   Carolyn Marie

I am in too good a mood to earn my certificate today. I am sure something will happen that will put me on the path to earning it.

It's likely most cis-women consider a fitting unnecessary "because they know what  they wear" and get used to the wrong size.  The instructions for what your size is are simple and why go to any further effort?  You measure your bandsize and you measure your max and subtract the two to get the needed info for the cup size.  Then you buy the same size for years until it hurts or something.

Congratulations Lorelei! Yes, it is a powerful feeling to have the documents that say "you are you".

Here is space for discussion on this, since the topic is large and could derail another thread SOMEBODY started.   Could some dear, sweet, kind Moderator pull everything related to this from the Voting for Trump thread and put it here?  I don't know if you can do that; I am the new girl on the block after all (blinks sweetly).

      I think I lost a friend :(

I will have arrived when I have a b*tch certificate of my own.  I think someone called me one once.

That’s fantastic Lorelei. I’m so happy for you.   Hugs,   Mindy🌈🐛🏳️‍⚧️🦋
