Hair Options?

Ok so my mom knows about me and she is into me growing my hair. Teh problem is that she doesnt like the scraggly way it looks right now, she says that it needs to be styled> I'm just afraid that she'll want it to be cut. Any suggestions?

Unfortunately at this stage all you can do i just get it lightly trimmed once a month or so to keep it neat, get a hairstyle magazine at the grocery store or bookshop and pick a style you like, then go to a salon, not a barber shop and show the stylist the style you want your hair to look like when it gets longer, just like transition there are some awkward stages, unfortunately this is one of them. I never told my stylist why i wanted a female hairstyle but i can assume she knew from the way i dressed, i always gave her a big tip. I found my current stylist from a gay friend i had known many years, his lesbian sister does hair out of her home, one bedroom is her salon and it has everything, if you ask around maybe you can find someone that works out of their home, it is a more relaxed atmosphere.

I started out with almost a shaved head and had to wear a wig till my own hair grew long enough, not enjoyable during the summer when it is hot and i sweat allot.
