Bath Salts And Plant Food

Hi there!

Some of you may have heard of this new legal meth like drug out called Bath Salts, or Plant Food, and several other names.

Back to this new stuff, these drugs are being manufactured in China and are legal in most of the USA. I think a few states have banned them.

My exbrother in law was arrested 3 days ago and is most likely going to prison.

This is my point. This new drug is still another form of amphetimine. JUST BECAUSE IT IS LEGAL, DOES NOT MEAN THE END RESULTS WILL BE ANY LESS DISASTAROUS TO YOUR LIFE THAN IF YOU WERE SIMPLY USING METH.

The amphetime family of drugs has severa hundred different compounds, methamphetime being one, MDMA another, and now this new stuff.

I am coming up on 5 years clean of meth on April 26th. It has been a very long road. I will be very honest here, as I know many of you will be in the same situation I was. The though did cross my mind "they are legal to buy, I have plenty of money, all I will do is probalby just work all nigh, feel good too. How bad can they be if they are legal"

I am so glad I did not. I am so ashamed of myself for having even though about it. This is a very seious problem. For the past several years I couln't have found meth, even if I wanted to. Now, if I have a really bad day, fight with my lover, whatever, I know there is Dr. Feelgood not 3 blocks away at the gas station for $40.

I just wanted to warn everybody, maybe if you get in that same situation, at least now you will know that this is a seriously bad drug.

PS, I just realized this is my very first post here. What a bummer of a post. :P

Welcome to laura's Mykie,

I have never heard of this stuff before. I too have an addiction to methamphetmines and I am glad to be done with it! I have six months kinda clean. Free from meth just not free from mind altering substances. For about a month I was using spice a legal form of Marijuana. I admit that the first time I tried it the pain I was feeling went away. But it was shortlived and when the high ended I still had the pain. I know enough now that I need to face my issues not bury them or numb myself out so I don't see and feel them. Thank you for the warning

I concure drugs are bad.

Yeah this same stuff is getting bad around here. There is a local head shop that has been selling all kinds of this stuff to whoever. We have had a few people around here Od on it.

I think most of the time "Bath Salt" is what it is sold by in my neck of the woods.

I had a friend who we had to take to the hospital cause they had too much. The hospital was pretty familiar with it. I'm not sure what they did to stabilize them, as i stayed in the waiting room.

Yes, MDPV (Methylenedioxypyrovalerone) is quite the wretched substance... To all of the drug users here i'd advice strongly against it.

It works so badly on your reward pathways... I'd even go as far as to call it worse than crack. There's barely a positive high and before you know it you're compulsively redosing.

It's not new, you're a bit misinformed.

Chinese chemists label it as plant food to get it through customs.

MDPV was originally chosen as it is the least toxic of all the pyrovalerone derivatives. I doubt any toxicity is going to occur in the same manner as MDMA as MdPv has bugger all effect on serotonogic systems. It's a dopamine reuptake inhibitor but other then the neurotoxicity is less then regular amphetamine.

Stay away from it, extreme paranoia/anxiety does occur and it's pretty straining on your heart.

Cheers (i'm a chem student ; )

Have this over here in the UK, which is now banned. I had to resuscitate someone that had taken some. Also known as Mephedrone, Bubble, drone and meow meow.

Straight or clean amphetime prolly has a good effect, keeping awake and such but this stuff is nothing like it, this stuff results in severe nose bleeds, nose burns, hallucinations, blood circulation problems, rashes, anxiety and paranoia, fits and delusions. Ive seen it and its not pretty.

Before I really decided to accept my trans feelings as something that was ok, I was still feeling very guilty about who I was and wanted to escape. I tried Bath Salts as a form of escapism, and realized while I was high on it that I should really try to escape from that drug. I saw highly disturbing flashes of light and deep red patterns in everything around me, I kept feeling like I was going to pass out, I stumbled across my room (which I thought was shaking and stretching), heard dark, menacing voices, saw malevolent creatures out of the corners of my eyes, buried my head and my hands and thought "I'm not going to make it out of this one. That was the toke that sealed my fate." I ended up thinking that my Adam's Apple and its large size was somehow causing the awful trip I was in and tried my best to fight the urges to pick up a pencil and stab it out. That lasted for a little over half an hour, with strange and random effects that came into play a few hours after I thought it was over. Once was all I needed to experience (in fact, I wish I had never done them at all) and I quit cold turkey.

That summer was quite a nightmare as well. There were people roaming the streets, flailing their arms and doing strange chants, moaning, and whatever. I literally thought it would lead to a zombie outbreak. No kidding. There were kids downtown hiding in the bushes from monsters, there was a girl outside a convenience store holding her own mother at knife-point for money for more of that demonic substance (I live in a dead end town where the factories have all closed down, so my town was stricken with bath salt mania something fierce).

It may sound completely crazy, because it is, but most of you by now probably know all of this is true and is totally possible. It really scared me that something so horrible and insane was once legal to sell at local stores, but I'm glad they are illegal and that this craze has majorly died down.

I've heard so many terrible things about these bath salts. Many people who use them end up having very permanent effects on their health and mind.

Having been addicted to a highly legal drug, and socially acceptable substance, all I can say is, don't let the legal part fool you. It can all ruin your chances of a happy old age, darn near did for me.

I'll admit that I smoked the legal "alternative" to marijuana while it was legal in Wyoming. It was somewhat like the plant, but very synthetic and spacey feeling. Something about it felt very wrong and odd. Not a pleasant experience and I seriously doubt that this other substance would be either.

Of course, this is a substance that's meant to be a legal "alternative" to amphetamines such as meth... I can only imagine how much detriment these bath salts can bring to your body and mind when the original substance is already so damaging...

I unfortunately started using MDPV around may of last year. the effects were just like speed. it woke me up and gave me tons of energy. but then i wanted more and more, and i was quickly up to doing it every few hours.this went on for almost 2 months. i couldn't sleep, and i became extremely paranoid, I was almost afraid to even leave the house. luckily I noticed my descent into madness and decided to flush it all down the toilet. the next few days were rough but I fortunately got through it. glad i quit after about 2 months, and I never want that awful stuff near me again. i'm glad it is illegal now. that stuff could seriously mess people's lives up.

These bath salts are composed of MDPV and whatever it is they want to cut it with. Even pure, MDPV is horrible for you. Its doses are chaotic, and because bathsalts aren't normally packaged by traditional drug sellers the amount in them could be anywhere from way too much, or just a bunch of crap like cleansers and the like. The biggest hazard for MDPV is children, because it's easy to get to, but other drugs aren't. I find it so hilarious that because drugs are so hard to get, kids are killing themselves on MDPV, or doing stupid things like inhaling dust-off for a trip.

MDPV isn't worth it. Even on a 'good' dose. You're looking at intense heart palpitations, cold sweats, anxiety and possibly psychotic episodes. It sounds like it resembled meth, but it doesn't. The stuff is pretty terrible. These days, even pure, most people stay away from it, and anyone trying to sell you this stuff, is a cheapskate who doesn't even have access to real drugs and is desperate. Stay the hell away from this stuff.

as said previously here in the uk there is a range of these drugs. they are sold as either research chemicals or plants food to get round the legal rules. for every street drug they are trying to offer a research drug equivalent. one big reason it is so dangerouse(yes all drugs are dangerous) is that it is straight from a lab and is very potent. when drugs were supplied on the street they were cut with inert substance to get more bucks per pound, this ment a lot of users were getting a lower dose. suddenly drugs are available that are if you like pure so when a user takes what they think is a normal dose they can actually be taking multiple times the does they are used to. another problem is that the drugs available are what are called analogs of know drugs. they take say ketomine and alter a few molicules and it becomes a new substance with very very close effects to the original. there is a down side they can become more toxic that the original and the more times they have to re work the recipie when the authorities ban one the more toxic it can get.

im not joining in the drugs are bad discusion drink is a drug as it tobaco as is coffee. heavy drugs i think really are bad mild drugs well seems to depend wether you can tax it or not as to wether its acceptable.

the only real advice is dont do any drugs you my think you know what your doing but the truth is you cant be sure of what you are taking now. i know i tried some speed and ended up in casualty via ambulance for 2 nights.

the ironic side to my story is i played with mild drugs (ketamine) after my gender issues drove me ill. escapism. when i ended up in hostpital it dawned on me that coming out as trans couldnt be as bad as that experience.with out it i would never have openly admitted my femanism.

one very strange thing happened when i had ket but i think i will put that in my blog rather than on here. for me it was a posative effect and i dont want to give the illusion that drugs have posative effects it was just something for me.

They may win a few battles but not the war! as @Davie pointed out there is little truth if it full of lies, inconsistencies, and ignores evidence to the contrary. I saw this article earlier and have to agree here. Truth will win. This isn’t the first time this tactic has been tried. Always stick with the truth!

Welcome @violet r! Glad you joined our forum and got through the hardest part…that first post. As many have mentioned, we are more than accepting here as we affirm your gender identity and hold no judgement, whatsoever. There’s so much here on this forum, I think you’ll find very helpful. If you have trouble finding an answer just reach out, try the search but starting a new thread is usually best to get some quick answers. Many are here for various transgender related issues but many, if not all, are here to help one another if we can. It’s great to have you onboard.   Warmest Regards, Susan R🌷

good evening   good day at work today.  I did do some things a little out of normal but everything was completed successfully.  As I said earlier, the Asst Mgr was my second today.  I don’t think she was too happy about that.  Several customers asked her where Richard was her answer was the manager cut his hours.  Well that is only part of the story,  his hours were cut just like mine were and several others but in his case he made demands about his hours that couldn’t be met.  But instead of making some non complaining remark about it she made sure to lay it all on the manager, thus throwing the manager under the bus.  Similarly when asked why she hadn’t been at work early mornings, she said she was being punished by the manager.  Well that’s partly true, she wouldn’t do what the manager told her to do so she took her off opening.  But secondarily she didn’t have a car to drive temporarily.  You can’t open the store without a car because who ever opens has tasks that require them to leave the store, so it was  at least partly her own fault.  But she chose to throw the manager under the bus for that.  I think she is asking to be fired for insubordination.  And if the manager gets these conversations off the security tape tomorrow she just might get her wish.   im pretty close to being ready to take the asst position but there isn’t anyone ready to take over my job, at least not at our store.  I suppose the other shift lead could if she is able to work earlier shifts and if the other closers were just a bit more reliable.   Ive been wanting some homefried chicken.  We found a BBQ place not far away that had such a chicken but I is made fresh when ordered so it has a 30 minute wait.  It was worth the wait and the other things we tried were also good.  Another restaurant on the list.  At least half of what we ordered came home for another meal.   i get to sleep in tomorrow, I go to work at 1:30!   Willow

It was nine thirty.  Saturday morning had rolled around more quickly than Taylor could believe.  She groaned, whined, thought of a million excuses why she should just stay in bed and knock the alarm across the room.  But it would still be going on, and so would the promise to Bob: when the gi came in, she would be in. There it was in its nice package, out where she could not miss it.  Why didn't she hide it?  She shook her head.   Up she got.  Sometimes you just do.  Her hair was a wreck. She patted it down and went to the bathroom.  Nine forty five. Shower later. No make up. She hated kara-tay especially at an ungodly early hour on a Saturday morning. Bagel. Instant coffee.  She was five minutes away when she realized she had forgotten the gi.  Back she went.   Into the dojo.  She had about five minutes to get the gi on.  She attempted to slip in unnoticed and go to the little restroom. Someone barked something out in Japanese or something, and there was a dead silence.  She turned to see what was going on. Both classes were getting into their lines, but everyone, including Bob, was bowing slightly. To her. Bob nodded, and she returned the bow.  Life started again. She was touched.   Bowing three times. Oath. Kata.  She was facing off with Judy as her partner.  Judy looked worried.   "Sometimes you just gotta pick yourself up and try again," Taylor told her. She nodded. "Let's do this."   Lunge punch and lower block.  They traded off like nothing had happened the last weekend.  Lunge punch and middle block. Lunge punch and upper block.  It was kind of like dancing. Taylor enjoyed it.  She wanted to learn more.  Brown-belt Maggie adjusted position of limbs and hips for both Taylor and Judy, telling them when she was about to do something: elbow up a bit".    "How'd you do?" Bob asked her later.  They had both gone home and showered. Now they were in a booth at a fast food place.   "I was kind of disappointed class ended. I was ready for more."   "That's my trooper."   "I'm not allowing you in my apartment until we are married," she said suddenly.   "You think I am a problem?"   "No.  I think you are safe. You passed the test  I am the problem here."   "Okay."   "What did the doctor tell you?"   "It's complicated.  More tests coming.  Like getting into college.  I got a letter back.  It seems there is this big fat M on my transcript and my current picture is not an M type picture.  I have to write a letter and send them notarized proofs and stuff. Just delays. This is a pain. Nothing cut and dried."   "I will say.  I'm glad I'm not transgender."   "Hah. You are pulled into my world.  You are involved in this stuff as much as I am, and, as you put it, of your own free will."   "You are worth it."   "I hope so."   "I know so."

On the way back to her desk she was interrupted by six short, urgent conversations that had to be attended to. Then she slipped into the women's room and locked the stall door.  She took a deep breath, then another, and allowed herself to shake for five minutes,  Then deep breathing, ten in and ten out, stretch up, touch the floor, neck rolls and she was fine. She used the toilet and a woman knocked and said, "Taylor, are you okay?"   "Ready to conquer the world!"  on her way out she found her makeup was fine.  Three stalls, two sinks.  If she ever designed a women's room with three stalls, there would be four sinks, with plenty of space to plunk your stuff down between them.   She met a deferential Karen.  "Here is the branding I came up with," she said.  And she went back to working as hard as Brenda and Mary, who looked up worriedly and then went back to the proposal.   Shortly before 5:00 she received an email with the title Consolidation and Compensation.  In it she learned that the position of office manager was eliminated, and the current office manager was to become the chief executive officer. The former CEO, along with the CFO, the chief legal officer, and sundry staff, had been terminated, per the Board of Directors.  Effective immediately everyone would receive a base salary of $20,000 with a commission to be set by the individual's supervisor.  Each supervisor would be given a certain percentage to distribute.  Most functions they had been handled would be outsourced as needed.   "The question of what profit was made last year is frequent enough to be answered.  The company lost over 500,000 in fiscal 2023.  At this point further cuts are not anticipated.  We will be strategically adding positions that will enhance our profits. Hard work is expected of everyone."   Her two web guys had been complaining because their games had been remotely uninstalled.  After the memo came out they were absolutely silent.  That gave her an idea, and after an exchange of emails they were reassigned to maintenance out at the plant, effective tomorrow morning.  There were lots of weeds that needed pulling, if nothing else. That email went out after they left early, for the day.  The maintenance foreman was a no-nonsense type who did not tolerate slacking, and they would learn a thing or two.  This also freed up two spaces for her to put new people.

So…I didn’t know your Facebook avatar was public. So, on my birthday, a couple people used a group avatar message to wish me a happy birthday…and now my Facebook friends can see a short video of my female avatar dancing with an old friend’s and another with my uncle’s avatars. So am I “Facebook out” now? 😬

No, they are not. Truth wins in the end and this report is full of lies that poison the whole thing: see this: "Dr. Cass Backpedals From Review: HRT, Blockers Should Be Made Available it's said. Dr. Cass's latest statements are likely to cast more doubt on the validity of the study, which has come under fire for disregarding substantial evidence on trans care." https://www.erininthemorning.com/p/dr-cass-backpedals-from-review-hrt?publication_id=994764&post_id=143743897&isFreemail=true&r=rebf4&triedRedirect=true I hope Dr. Cass wins The Mengele Award for it.

By which I mean there is a cultural stereotype of what a man is, and one of what a woman is.  Even worse, of what a transgender person is.   You be you.   I read of a boy who thought he was a girl because he did not adhere to some (rather toxic) conceptions of what it means to be a man, so he decided he was a girl.  He was told he didn't have to conform to stereotype and got happy. "You mean I don't have to transition?" He didn't want to, and was relieved.   Once upon a time if you were transgender they told you either you transition or die.   Incorporate the best of what it means to be a man and the best of what it means to be a woman as much as you possibly can, and let the rest go.  Be fully human. Be alive. Don't conform to some cultural crud.

Now if, Theophilus Thistle, the successful thistle sifter, in sifting a sieve full of of unsifted thistles, thrust three-thousand thistles through the thick of his thumb, how many thistles can'st thou thrust through the thick of thy thumb . . . in sifting a sieve-full of unsifted thistles? You have given you and us a big clue right there.  I hope you have shared this observation with your Endocrinologist and are willing to take their advice about changing that behavior.    Non prescribed herbal or animal supplements can have a negative effect on your body's use of your available hormones.  Also, your genetics are going to be controlling what your body is going to do with your hormones, and again, that is for you to consult with your Endocrinologists.  On this site none of us are licensed medical personnel and we cannot give you advice on your health more than what your doctor can.  We have rules that we enforce against our members advising about "Folk Remedies" because we have had members who have gone that route and badly damaged their health and quality of life.  Only thing I can go anywhere on, is that maybe if you change your expectations of what should happen, you will at least not be in danger of harming yourself from anxiety.
