Back Hair Problem

Ok I need a trick that will help make removing back hair easier. I cant use Nair it makes me break out.

All I can think of is you need someone to help you remove it, by shaving it off. I know that answer is pretty weak. Are there other chemical hair removers that might work better and not make you break out?

Hi Tara,

I have seen a number of shavers advertised with extensions so you can reach your back areas yourself, that's one approach. Heck you can just use tape to attach a shaver to a stick and do the same yourself if you are into DIY.

I am fortunate to have my wife's help with this. She uses a wax kit and paper strips on my back, this lasts longer than shaving.

I agree with you Nair caused me a rash when I tried it on my back, won't do that again. Good Luck,

Is Nair the same as Veet? Here in the UK we can get Veet for both male and female, but the male version is only available as a cream (smells and is very expensive) and of course, if you are on your own, you need to be a contortionist to apply and then scrape it off 6 minutes later.

Ditto when using a shaver, there's two spots that a set of clippers just will not reach!

Wax? I've had my back done a couple times. It can get to be a little expensive over the long term. Otherwise razors are pretty much it.

I use the Philips* Bodygroom electric shaver to shave my back myself. There are three different models and having owned them all I've found the cheapest model (that's the blue one) is the best for back shaving. A shaver being a shaver I never get perfect results but that's something I can live with.

*Philips use a different name in the US, I think.
