I am alive

I never died, I am and always here

I am the same in both my mind and soul

Nothing has changed and I still hold you dear

Do not for a moment think I am gone

My form you can see my voice you can hear

I have not gone under ground like a mole

Can't you hear my voice as I call out clear

My life's melody ringing in full song

I never died, I am still quite alive

I live and breath, I walk and my heart beats

My body is different to your eyes

But I am the same person that you know

So let us together live and survive

I am still your offspring, your scion, me

I am still your sibling, so let us thrive

I am still your friend, our bond only grows

I thank you all who understand and love

I pity the rest who simply cannot

Once in my true body, free as a dove

I am at peace, my life synchronized

I am who I am when push comes to shove

I am pleased, I am proud, I am so blessed

I am laughter, I am life, I am love

I am alive and all of the above

I'm delighted you both enjoyed it. I was happy to actually come up with a more bright and happy poem rather than one of my dismal ones. They seem to come to be based off of emotion but I try to incorporate basic literary concepts into them. Hehe I was getting ready to go into a lecture about rhyme scheme and iambic pentameter, but that's less interesting than the message itself

Anyway, thanks so much and I hope you continue to find enjoyment from them <3

It's nice to have inspiration for pleasant forks even if others are born of darker thoughts. I think this poem is something akin to a beacon amid darker feelings. At least to me. And I am all to happy to share it.

You should really enter a competition or something - seriously this is great. And I love the positiveness of it - it's so much harder to write pleasant stuff than about death etc.
