Do you dream you're beautiful?

~Nova~

Recommended Posts

I wake up in the middle of the night after a dream where I picture all of the beautiful woman I have seen during the day. The attributes they exhibit, the way they walk, talk.

I then put those attributes on me and how I wish I could look like them.

Do you dream you're beautiful.

Dreams... well last night I dreamt that I was a girl, and always had been. I remeber just sitting in the car on the way to school and being completely relaxed. I don't really know how I knew I was a girl, it was just a vibe I got. I didn't see myself or anything, but when I was in the car in real life today, I could sorta picture myself as a girl. The thing I remember the most was how my hair tickled my back.

I don't dream very often at all - at least I almost never remember them - so I'm pretty happy just to know that I dreamt.

Hugs,

Holly

I do that during the day too, admire other women I see throughout the day, and have similar dreams. Sometimes they help motivate me, sometimes it frustrates me! But it makes me feel good overall about myself.

Researchers say we dream 6 to 8 times a night, but most of us can barely remember one (usually the last) and even then, that disappears from our memories very quickly, unless we make it a point to remember it. From that I'd guess that memories and dreams occupy totally different parts of our mind, and if there is any connection it's a one way street (memory -> dream), unless we actively force it the other way.

I can barely remember a few dreams where I've been cd and had a fear of being outed and that sort of destroys any good feeling (I hate having dreams surround by that kind of fear!). I did have one exotic dream I actually wrote down the next morning where I was a young woman (not just dressed as but reality), and possibly having beautiful features, but I was in a totally different culture (Chinese) and about 1000-1500 years ago, and I knew simultaneously I was this young woman and I was 'me'. The dream itself was both beautiful and frightening.

Yes. I've had dreams before where I looked into a mirror and my reflection was the woman inside. Long raven-black hair, completely feminine facial features, perky but not overbearing breasts, thin but physically fit, in proper female attire... ahhhhh.... but then I wake up.

Ever since my coming out I've been experiencing a lot of dreams where I'm myself and out in the world, at work, at the store, and then I wake up in these terrible cold sweats.

Hopefully these dreams can come true soon...

I really can't remember dreaming I was beautiful.

I do spend time wishing I could look like women I see but at my age that time is gone.

I have a real problem remembering dreams and sadly most of those I remember have not been good ones for the last few months.

Hmmm . Never have I had a dream seeing myself as beautiful ever.Am just content having dreams that I am female in. I am a realist by nature and know while my personality/demenor might be very good my outside face and body are bordering on hideous. I am ok with this not everyone was ment to be goodlooking. I am seen as female by pretty much everyone I meet so this is all that matters to me. Would rather be an ugly woman then a good looking guy. Not sure why so many trans people seem to think they need to be some kind of beauty queen. Seriuosly if you are pressenting your target gender and people are excepting this get over the beauty queen ideal. If you are called maam , miss, ect you have already won the grand prize be happy with it. Just my opion....

Seriously, all the women here are beautiful! (Guys are handsome).

We are just as spectacularly beautiful as it is possibly to be! I mean - dang it - we EARNED IT!

So DREAM the life you are going toward - then LIVE it.

This.

I don't dream I'm a super model, but I do dream that I'm the girl that heads turn for. Just one in a lifetime and I'd be very happy.

I felt the same way. I'll never even be able to step outside. Then I did. Then I hoped I'd go to he store, and again I did. Then to dinner, then shopping, then... Now I'm full time.

It happens. Don't rush it.

Best oft luck

Most of my dreams I'm always female, but something I'm change characters and I'm a guy or animal

I don't remember my face but is usually cute or beautiful.

After coming out I also see a female version of myself in daily-life situations, but in different locations and things like that.

I lucid dreamed that I was 10 again(maybe because I think that I should came out back there) in my old school,I was jumping in joy

and looked at the mirror, but realized that it could only be a dream, but sadly I wasn't female in this lucid dream.

Autumn the night after I read this I dreamed I was beautiful alright. And for me that was a nightmare!

:D Different strokes. I am affected when I dream that I am what I was or a woman at all. I also let myself look at the tall lanky men my heart so longs for me to be-but not too often. In my next life I have promised myself to look like Gary Cooper. This time around I'm just working on being thankful I'm not what I used to be and not as bad as I feared it was going to be. I can live with this. As long as I get to be well over 6 feet and flat chested next time :D

Love ya even if you gave me a nightmare

I'm a lot like Chloe. My dreams, I am a beautiful young woman of a different culture in a different time, A young Native American girl. Well, I'll always have the cheekbones of my dreams (Hurah for genes).

Oh, and by young, I mean about 4 years older than how old I am now.

Actually, in the majority of my dreams I am a beautiful woman. And beautiful to me in that sense is that I am happy and comfortable in being who I am, and showing that. It's pretty rare I have a dream where I am a man, I can't honestly remember the last time I was a man in my dreams.

Maria, you are ALREADY a dream girl! Brainy girls REALLY ROCK, and you're SOOO cute! Oh, to be 4 years older than you are now? Honey, what I wouldn't give to be 4 years older than YOU are now! Four years older than I am now. Girl, don't go there ... just don't GO there ... sigh.

Autumn:

Rock on, girl. Heck, I ALWAYS dream about being a supermodel, and doggone if I ain't gonna try ... appropriate to my age and circumstances.

I rarely remember my dreams, at all, but I had two the other night that have both stuck with me in a way that, for me, is especially strong. I don't know about "beautiful" but I was a woman in both... and being chased in one. Since I really started to realize/come to terms with/learn I'm not alone, I've thought about dreams quite a bit, and wished I remembered them better, to answer, partly, your question. Partly to have a chance to be who I am, if that makes sense.

I dream and sometimes when at work I almost run into things. I see other woman and say I can look better than her and others I see myself just like her her clothing appearance

Even before I transitioned, I had this recurring dream of being at a club dancing with a nice looking guy. In the dream, I'm a beautiful red head wearing a shimmery emerald green satin sheath dress that showed off my shape and cleavage.

I've been a red head off and on since then and I married my guy. I'm still looking for that dress though I don't think it will fit as well as it did in the dream.

It's funny with photos isn't it, how we think we look in them vs. how we actually do look in them! I'm hopeless at smiling and I have to try really hard not to frown or look like a zombie. I'm never sure how I come across to others.   I had a moment late last night when my eldest daughter facetimed my wife for some now forgotten reason, and when I was handed the tablet and talking to her, I was fixated on my image in the corner. My hair was wild at the time, I was a bit tipsy and all I saw was a woman! I have no idea what she saw in that context. I'll probably never know.

I hope to see you on the Zoom meeting tonight, April.  I might be late, since I am doing lights and sound for a play that opened last night.  I was home before ten last night, so I think I'll be able to make it.   Today is an anniversary for me.  Seven years ago today, I stood up at the weekly community kaffeeklatsch as <deadname> and announced that henceforth I would be Kathy.  It went as well as I could have imagined: there were some surprised looks, but no hostility and lots of support.  A whole layer of stress disappeared that day and has never come back.  (There have been other stresses, but that one is gone.)  I have been me full-time ever since that moment.

This is a scarily accurate description of what I feel!   I hope I don't sound too schmaltzy by saying this, but I remember when I signed up to this forum last year, during the sign-up process the question is asked, "Why do you want to join TransPulse?" to which I wrote, "Looking for a home where I can freely write about my issues and interact with similar people."    I think I just found one. ❤️

Good morning, everyone!! I was up early again - already on my third cup of coffee having walked/fed the dog and read the local paper.   We have a birthday party for a friend to go to this afternoon but no real plans otherwise.   I hope to be able to attend tonight's TGP Zoom session. It's been weeks since I've been able to participate with the illness/loss of our dog, two horrible colds in succession and our trip to chase the solar eclipse.   Have a wonderful day and look for the goodness in it.

I think we tend to be overly critical of our looks, whether we're trying to express ourselves as masculine, feminine or anywhere along the gender spectrum. For me, I use photos as a way to track my progress, to help me find my style and look and to help me find ways to improve myself in posture, looks, make-up, style......   I didn't really think about our FB avatar being public but then realized that when people search they do see it.   Since I'm not out to anyone but my wife, therapist, priest and people here, my FB page remains "that guy." I have created a Bitmoji that is relatively androgynous moving slowly towards the feminine. Long gray hair, earrings, softer features...I'm transitioning it along with myself. :-)
