Pregnant MtF?

Guest Basilo

Recommended Posts

First, this is not asking if a MtF can get pregnant, and I am sorry if this is in the wrong thread. So, basically, I keep running across articles on the internet saying that a transwomen had a uterus and ovaries grown from her own stem cells. No, as much as I hope this is real, I am highly doubtful of that. So, basically, can anyone find any information on this?

Yeah, that's the website I found too... But something isn't adding up. First of all, I've never heard of this website before and have no idea if it's trustworthy. Secondly, if this were true, it would have made headlines everywhere because of how big of a leap this would be for stem cell research, and because the the general public seems to be interested in these kind of stories... So, what do you all think?

I had a look at linked article and noticed the date. It's only a few hours off of 1st April, and probably posted as a prank article.

How fun to speculate, but definitely a prank!

I believe we'll see it become a reality in the next 15-30 years, though perhaps only affordable for the priviledged - doesn't help those of us now. Remember the Human Genome Project? I heard on NPR yesterday that you can now have your entire genome sequenced for $3k and they will give you a report of all the conditions you may be genetically at risk for. It's not fertility, but it's the kind of medical science that will eventually make fertility in MtF and FtM possible.

15 years? Lol, predictions I've read put it at 5-10 years, and that honestly sounds pretty accurate, so....

Having examined several thousand hysterectomy specimens ove an 28 year career in Pathology, the uterus requires a very intricate vascular system. We have the ability to transplant many human organs today. We are the edge of many break throughs in stem cell technology and treatments. I'll go out on a and predict that in the next 25 to 50 years medical science will be able to grow replacement organs up to and including growing a functional uterus fallopian tubes and ovaries as replacement for GG females who lose theirs as well as a functional uterus for TG woman. Imagine the history that would be made to be the first TG woman to give birth.

Well yesterday didn't work like I wanted to. I met a guy and started talking and he was wanting to be in a relationship. I asked my kids on how they thought of me dating a man and they said gross and said no. I guess it's time to look for women. I think that is going to be harder. Oh well I guess.

This topic reminds me of the lyrics to the Beatles song, "A Little Help From My Friends."   "What do you see when you turn out the lights?"   "I can't tell you but I know it's mine."   Carolyn Marie

@Ivy have you read the actual document?   Has anyone else out there read it?

I am reading the Project 2025 document https://www.project2025.org/policy/   This will take some time.  I read the forward and I want to read it again later.   I read some criticism of it outside here and I will be looking for it in the light of what has been posted here and there.  Some of the criticism is bosh.   @MaeBe have you read the actual document?

      No problem!

Old topic, but I gotta say my favorites are: "Stop hitting on minors" (doesn't work if you're holder tho) and "Sure as [squid] not you"

Abigail, I think we will just leave the other posts where they are, and the discussion can start anew here.  It is possible to do what you ask, but would disrupt the flow of the discussion in the other thread, and would require more work than it's worth.   Carolyn Marie

I am in too good a mood to earn my certificate today. I am sure something will happen that will put me on the path to earning it.

It's likely most cis-women consider a fitting unnecessary "because they know what  they wear" and get used to the wrong size.  The instructions for what your size is are simple and why go to any further effort?  You measure your bandsize and you measure your max and subtract the two to get the needed info for the cup size.  Then you buy the same size for years until it hurts or something.

Congratulations Lorelei! Yes, it is a powerful feeling to have the documents that say "you are you".

Here is space for discussion on this, since the topic is large and could derail another thread SOMEBODY started.   Could some dear, sweet, kind Moderator pull everything related to this from the Voting for Trump thread and put it here?  I don't know if you can do that; I am the new girl on the block after all (blinks sweetly).
