Passing In The Mall

So tonight, I went out with my wife (we're getting divorced, but still really good friends) to American Apparel and to the mall, and I went as Maude.

At American Apparel and all the stores, I used my femme voice all the time. An employee greeted me as I walked in, and when we were over looking at the skirts, a male employee said "How are you ladies doing?" I didn't even notice that he called us ladies - my wife had to point it out, but it was probably the highlight of the night passing wise.

Everywhere else we went at the mall, Target, etc... I passed as far as being confident and I didn't feel like anyone clocked me.

Nothing quite like being accepted as yourself, is there? I remember the first time I was in public as Sally and a Fedex man held a door for me and called me ma'am, It was such a woderful feeling - a reassurance that I can do this.
