Can We find Enlightenment?

Hi All,

The Zen Monastery that I have recently joined regularly recites the Diamond Sutra which emphasizes that we can all achieve enlightenment regardless of our social status, wealth etc. So, I guess it is not especially mystical that I would have this insight/experience but for me, it was very powerful.

Anyway .. at the end of my meditation, I saw myself asking one of the Nuns at the monastery if I was capable of achieving enlightenment. She smiled at me and replied without hesitation "of course."

It was a beautiful "vision"? Half-awake dream?

It is fresh my mind like a lovely flower... and I just wanted to share it with all of you.

I hope I don't sound too cheesy! Spiritual stuff can be like this.

Of course we can all find enlightenment. Finding enlightenment will greatly help you with any gender disphoria you may be experiencing, in fact, for the most part, I no longer suffer from it.

Read, meditate, it takes time and it takes a willingness to find it. The interesting thing is that it is hard to hold on to at first. With practice, you can hold the state longer. It seems that life is always testing us, probing our weakest areas to see if we can be dragged back down....

Of course we can. Anyone can. We must. Now,how to hold onto thoose moments... But then,who wants to go through life transcending it? We do live in a physical world.
