They were together from '67-69'. You might see if they're on Youtube. They still have quite a following.

Glad to hear it. There was so much good music done before all of the studio trickery and the formulaic hit machine stuff flooded the air waves. Heck, The Beatles ushered in the British Invasion and it was a wild ride clear to Woodstock. The 70's brought bands like Yes and the Allman Bros., etc. And to be honest, I loved to dance and thoroughly enjoyed the Disco scene for its short romp.

Fess up! Did you wear a burgundy leisure suit? I loved the platform shoes I had. Didn't get into disco really, but it was a great way for a kid to get laid! Giggle.

Not only old enough to remember It's A Beautiful Day, I worked in record stores starting in the late 70s while doing graduate work in college - the album still was selling enough to keep a couple of copies in stock at all times.

Never really made a huge hit but managed to make a place in music history by having been one of the last Bands to perform at Filmore West - their song White Bird was in the documentary film "Filmore".

I am still a fan of a group called Ten Wheel Drive, I love the heavy usage of the banjo in a heavy rock piece called 'Morning Much Better" - sort of a B, S and T group - jazz, rock, blues fusion.

Love the old stuff and a lot of the newer but I do feel that much like in movies - technology is used more often to replace artists than by artists.

Not burgundy. I had a winter white one as well as one in dark blue. YEECH! No platform shoes, either. I did own a precious pair of Capezios for dancing, however.

And I loved disco. Imagine getting all dressed up to get messed up in your best, including doing your hair, and then going to dance. Now this might involve dances that required practice and made it necessary to actually touch your partner.

After it caught on, much of the music became prefab like fast food with a beat

- sort of a B, S and T group - jazz, rock, blues fusion.

B, S & T! I saw them at Newport Jazz (my hometown!) back in '69. They were on the ticket for the night with 10 Years After, Jethro Tull, Jeff Beck (with lead singer Rod Stewart) and several jazz bands. I had a great seat and it cost me a whopping $7.95!

Wow Cissy, thanks for taking me back to a time a mere ten years later. Ticket prices were up to about twenty bucks. I think the last big show I saw back east was Speedway Jam. Then I traded off everything I owned including my Norton motorcycle, packed everything I had left including a quarter pound of pot, into a clapped out '69 Chevelle. I then drove off to make my life in Arizona. Hippies did that you know. I looked like a blond Cheech & Chong without the cheech...LOL.

Some times I think about that hippie kid. I wish I had estrogen back then, I would have been a love child... Oh, wait I was a love child and got the crap beat out of me more than once, from the cops for being one of those druggy freaks! Mmm,,, scratch that.... I did love my full long hair then, dudes would mistake as female from the back. I would turn around with my full beard and stick my tongue out at them... What a day! Giggle. Jody
