I just went on my daily walk and kept replaying one of my favorite songs of all time by Divinyls called "Pleasure and Pain" from their 1985 album... What a Life!

That was the year I started becoming Susan.  The lyrics remind me so much of my travailing the daily struggles back in 1985 when I came into my own with my new reality as a transgendered person.  Even today, it still brings me back to that place and time.

Water of Love - Dire Straits

Love that slide guitar, and the slow to medium groove that draws you in, with a message...

"if I don't get some water soon, I'll be dead and gone by the afternoon"

You can't go wrong with Beck, it's wonderful road music, I sure like "Freeway Jam"

Tonight I'm listening to a tune from 25 years ago that echos across time....

Live - White Discussion (1994) - very heavy, and dark.....Groovy bass tone in the verses...

"This will be what we said"

"I warned you, I prepared you"

Thanks Jani for bringing back these great memories, and my copy of Small Faces - The Autumn Stone (1969) CD arrived today from the UK, it was hard to scare up a copy locally.

Hugs

I saw Steve Marriott perform with Humble Pie, in 1980 (i think), he was great then.

Today I'm listening to Madonna and her pop classic - Borderline (1984). Great tune, snappy pop, i like singing along to her voice...

When I came back East during my Senior year the class had planned a trip to Boston to see Humble Pie.   It was too late for me to go.  Darn!

Yeah, great song from Madonna.  I also like Cyndi Lauper.  A unique voice, wonderful lyrics.

Today its George Harrison's All Things Must Pass.   It came out when I was a Junior in HS.  We discussed a number of the songs in our religion class.  I have an original vinyl box set and the updated CD release from 2000.

Cyndi Lauper's song "Time after Time" (1982), it's hard to sing along, because I start to cry, it's sooo good.

Wonderful album "All things must pass", what a great collection of his work.
