After another interesting weekend where I re-connected with the drummer from my almost signed band Silverhorse and hearing of the passing of one of our guitarists and former writing partner - this song popped in my head first thing this morning.... guitarist who died is second on right and drummer is second on the left.

And then this came on and the lyrics hit me right between the mental eyes

I'm listening to the prodigy today because my music taste changes every few days for some reason.

Not a huge Peter Gabriel fan but I loved that song just because of the variety of vocal performances within the song. His voice is outstanding and I always gave him huge props for song writing.

Here is a band from Boston that always put on a great live show.

Worked with them several times when they toured thru my area of the USA.

Great guys and fun to hang with.

I don't know what it is about this song (Besame Mucho), it is so alluring to hear.  Thanks for posting this version @Dinaki !

Yea the demo tapes for Decca - it is alright but not something to write home about....

Speaking of Macca - my favorite all time Macca song - because he did all the instruments and I love the feel and it brings me to tears every time I hear it....

So, so not safe for work. Nobody under 18. Nope nope. The animation and the song both are amazing.

today's flavor comes by way of my young guitar asking if I'd ever heard "C'mon" by Poco. That song really is driving but the song they should have been a hit for them was

Hi Kiara,   I felt this too at one point. I didn't contact my local LGBTQ community for fear of "not being trans enough" or "gay enough". My worries were put to rest by a very nice (although tardy - they took 4 weeks to answer me) reception and I was redirected to a nice local trans woman. We still haven't mannaged to talk but we'll get there.   What I mean is, it is our fears that hold us back. Your situation will be understood by the right people in your local LGBTQ community.   Also, given how much you are copping right now with, a gender therapist could be a huge help. I know it made all the difference for me. It's true that you need to find the right therapist for you. Working with a person you don't connect with will make more harm than good. But the right therapist for you is out there and they could help you a lot. Don't give up on that possibility.   Meanwhile, we are here to support you.

That's so interesting. Instead of warding you away from it, it is nudging you along. That's nice!    That's wonderful Keira, and it talks both about her and also about your openness to her. Keep up the good job. And eat something healthy for breakfast!    Good day all. I'm off to a (very late) lunch

@suzy Welcome. You are you. No labels necessary. Accepting you for who you are is all that is important and feeling good about you is what is necessary to be happy.

Hi Ellie, and welcome from someone who is going in the opposite direction. We are all here (nbs too) to share our perspectives, struggles and support.    You've landed in a great place.

I am the old fart trying to catch up. Like both songs. Thank you

Thank you Susan and that is what I am truly hoping for. Being able to accept myself has to happen first and that has been my biggest problem, launching myself over the hurdle of not only being told this is the wrong way for me to be, but feeling ugly and stupid for not knowing how to make myself look good, then my mind starts spiraling out of control. Once i can get over the self loathing, negative feelings, I can enjoy the journey hopefully.

Welcome Audrey.  Glad you've found us.  Funny how somehow Covid has had some positive results while also being so horrible.  It was during an unusual period of isolation that i first left the closet.  Those steps helped me find peace with myself.   Hugs,   Charlize
