For about an hour +, it is going to be tracks of "I'll Be Home For Christmas"  a little different version of Jingle Bells that Barbara Streisand did, and a re-written Trans version of Deck The Halls, as I try my hand at singing for Trans Chorus Of Los Angeles on line Christmas Shows.  (I will post links to the shows here as I get them)

@VickySGV please do I would love to see streaming as LA too far to go - but with COVID I imagine virtual streaming will occur?

When we do this song, I play bass, harmonica and lead vocals - I imagine myself being Raven Snow when she sings the last verse.....

Yes there will be virtual and I believe U-tube or similar.

I was listening to KUSC (the local classic music station) and they played music I was sure I had heard in a movie, but I couldn't place it.  At the end they mentioned that it was from the movie "Braveheart."  It's been years since I saw that movie, and recalled how much I loved the score.  It's amazing how music can stay with you forever, and tug at your emotions decades later.

Just been out for a walk (as Niamh walking from my home around the local area in the dark) and had to strut my stuff to these...

and this..

My wife would have had a fit if she had seen my moves. I would just have smiled at anyone that saw me.

(That's what tends to happen when I've had a few too many Rums!)

I LOVE this song - I wish I'd written it - I just started a new song that has the room and space to allow the same feeling ooze called "Forever and a Day"..... inspired by this magnificent song.. Songwriters: Michael Reid / Allen Shamblin

Nice basic rhythm reminiscent of a lot of early three chord gems.  The bass line holds it all together.

My wife asked to sing the folowing song at our annual concert to raise money for our county's needy at Christmas and I'd never heard it before - what a BEAUTIFUL song......

Truly a buried treasure - this duo deserved a better commercial fate.... love this song - @Cyndee and @Jani - this is my favorite type of bass line - simple but a great hook............. guitar style reminiscent of Jim Messina (he also learned his style by emulating steel guitar players)

This topic reminds me of the lyrics to the Beatles song, "A Little Help From My Friends."   "What do you see when you turn out the lights?"   "I can't tell you but I know it's mine."   Carolyn Marie

@Ivy have you read the actual document?   Has anyone else out there read it?
    • Abigail Genevieve
I am reading the Project 2025 document https://www.project2025.org/policy/   This will take some time.  I read the forward and I want to read it again later.   I read some criticism of it outside here and I will be looking for it in the light of what has been posted here and there.  Some of the criticism is bosh.   @MaeBe have you read the actual document?

      *older, not holder, oops :P
    • Abigail Genevieve
      No problem!

Old topic, but I gotta say my favorites are: "Stop hitting on minors" (doesn't work if you're holder tho) and "Sure as [squid] not you"

Abigail, I think we will just leave the other posts where they are, and the discussion can start anew here.  It is possible to do what you ask, but would disrupt the flow of the discussion in the other thread, and would require more work than it's worth.   Carolyn Marie

I am in too good a mood to earn my certificate today. I am sure something will happen that will put me on the path to earning it.

It's likely most cis-women consider a fitting unnecessary "because they know what  they wear" and get used to the wrong size.  The instructions for what your size is are simple and why go to any further effort?  You measure your bandsize and you measure your max and subtract the two to get the needed info for the cup size.  Then you buy the same size for years until it hurts or something.

Congratulations Lorelei! Yes, it is a powerful feeling to have the documents that say "you are you".

Here is space for discussion on this, since the topic is large and could derail another thread SOMEBODY started.   Could some dear, sweet, kind Moderator pull everything related to this from the Voting for Trump thread and put it here?  I don't know if you can do that; I am the new girl on the block after all (blinks sweetly).

      I think I lost a friend :(

I will have arrived when I have a b*tch certificate of my own.  I think someone called me one once.

That’s fantastic Lorelei. I’m so happy for you.   Hugs,   Mindy🌈🐛🏳️‍⚧️🦋
