I have a heel story from today. Mind the tiny gap at elevators! Yep I stuck mine right in there, I have been oblivious to that gap because it's small size all my life...

Yep! I did that a few months ago and wrenched my foot pretty hard. It took a second to re-compose, get my shoe un-stuck and back on my foot. Thank the stars that nobody witnessed it!

I've been on a hiatus from heels for a while after hip surgery. Wearing them again today was a joy... and a challenge.

As someone whos lived as a woman and worn high heels most of their life - its a definate no no to climb stairs placing your heel on it - its dangerous, only the ball of the foot goes on a step....................its nothing to do with being a woman - its just a safety thing

I've always walked up stairs on the testicles of my feet, unless they were relitivly large steps like the ones in the Lincoln monument in DC, heels or not, it's just easier for me, going down if I'm in flats/boots/sandles/sneakers I'll walk on the testicles but if I have more then 1/4inch of a heel ill step fully on each one the whole way down

It's even worse when someone appears to actually take it seriously and goes away thinking "You have testicles on your feet?" and doesn't check back and realise what is happening.

Don't worry about it. You're not the first and you won't be the last.

At 1:30 the shoes are a size too big for the wearer. Had those been on my feet, they would have slipped straight off; especially if I was wearing stockings. Heels have to be a perfect fit for me, or else they flap up and down like a pair of flip-flops. However, gel heel cushions cut in half and stuffed down the gap between the heel of your foot and the back of your shoe help enormously. Stuff in as many as required
