My introduction

Hello folks,

How does one start their first ever forum post? With an introduction, I guess.

I'm Rebecca, and I live in Melbourne, Australia, famed city of four seasons in a day!

My story is likely familiar to many, first feelings in early childhood (the 1950's btw), struggling through my life with hidden identity issues, now at an age where I'd just like to be, what I know to be, the real me, instead of a well developed facade.

Well, that's a start, and another small step in a journey.

Thanks for allowing me to join here, I hope I can make some useful contribution.

Welcome to the Playground, Rebecca. I think Australia is a great place and hope to visit it someday, not least of which because one of my dearest trans friends is in Perth.

There are many here, including me, who didn't begin our journeys until later in life. It most certainly can be done, if that turns out to be the right path for you. Finding a gender therapist is usually the first step, and I know there are many in Australia.

I encourage you to read the forum threads that interest you, especially the pinned topics, and ask all the questions you like. We'll do our best to answer honestly.
