I will continue to search for that man that will fullfill my heart for companionship and love;

he is repectful, kind and caring as I will be his dove.

He is a man of loyalty, trust and honest living;

one that knows himself and God and is giving.

A sound mind, heart and soul he has;

with an intelligent mind and sense of humor that

will lighten the room with pizaz.

I want that man please. :-)

Hugs,

Susan

Hello Susan,

Mere words can not express my joy for you in reading this post. I have been away from Laura's since I responded to your post on June 19th.

Let me tell you girl, I was deeply concerned with where you were at then. Today after following all the things you wrote since that bad day, I thanked God and everyone that helped you get through this rough patch. I know that you would now agree that it would not have been worth it.

Now I feel your joy and hope for the future. I know that everyone here at Laura's is also relieved, and happy for you. I would'nt be surprised if your turnaround will help all that felt the same as you did last month.

I told you on June 19th to give it some time. And now on a much happier note I'm going to say about the same thing. Time has a way of heeling and revealing the truth. I think there is some one out there for everyone, and certainly a man for you is out there. Finding him is another story. I honestly think you will find your soul mate if you give it enough time. I will be rooting and praying for you my friend.

Love, Chandra

They are out there Susan and if you keep your heart open one day .....................

That is the kind of man I aspire to be,

Nice to know there are women still looking for them

I also go through those trying and crying feelings. I'm still in puberty so it is twice as tough. I hear claims of wanting all those things, I bring them and more but so far I always get: "I don't want a gurlyboy I want a manly man. Alone in my room, I cry knowing I was an overcompensating version of the same. I can never go back there nor would I want to. Then the old J. Giels Band song "Love Stinks" plays in my head. "You love her, but she loves him, he loves somebody else, we just can't win!..." sorry for singing out of tune... anyway... A girl friend once told me, "Jody, you have over thirty close girl friends that love for who you are. If you pick a keeper, you will have to give up the other twenty-nine!" Hm mm... Guess I need to keep saving myself for that double gown wedding. Giggle. Yes I can wear white, if you must know. Smile. In the mean time we can sit together in the wall flower chairs at the dance. Welcome to Transgender Pulse Forums @violet r   I think we all were scared with our first post here on TPF. I hope you come to find this site as welcoming as an old friend. Not knowing the type of retail you're in, it is hard to know how they will react to your coming out. I would hope that if it's part of a larger corporation they may have corporate policies supporting/protecting you once you decide to come out publicly. No one here will rush you, or try to slow you down, once you've decided to come out. Some of us are secret sisters, and others of us are as flamboyant as they come. The cool this is you get to choose. You be you.   Best wishes, stay positive, and motivated,   Mindy🌈🐛🏳️‍⚧️🦋

      Welcome aboard, Violet. What a pretty name!   You are among friends here. We are all on a journey, with things in common despite our individual uniqueness. I hope that makes sense!

      Oh Yes!   This one is so obvious to anyone who has had a cat and observed any Big Cat.

      Welcome Violet.  It's been awhile since i found this space with so many who understand the struggle to simply be ourselves in a society that often disapproves,  It isn't an easy path but being together we can share all the bumps and the joys. You are not alone.   Hugs,   Charlize

      I'm sorry it didn't work out for the new job. Nothing to keep you from being on the search. I had a coworker who used to walk out of the locker room saying; "I was looking for a job with I found this one and I'll keep searching for the next one. Never let them think you're comfortable and settled."   The coffee has just finished brewing, and we have a HVAC technician coming in about 30 minutes to do an annual system check.   It's time to get out of my Pj's.   Mindy🌈🐛🏳️‍⚧️🦋

      @Sally Stone, I have enjoyed reading this thread immensely. There certainly are some things in it that I can relate to, particularly when you wrote that "I wasn’t a man trapped in a woman’s body." This simple statement confirmed two things for me; I am not an imposter here, and I could end up much further along the path than what I imagine now.   I very much look forward to your future posts here.   I hope that by posing this question I'm not committing you to spoil future posts, but can I ask, why you have settled on Bigender as a label? I keep changing my label and have no idea what it might be tomorrow or next week or next month!

      This whole Cass Review thing is breaking my heart. I keep imagining how it must be to be a trans kid in the UK atm. I am halfway through reading the review so that I can effectively refute it if and when people cite it here in Australia.

      One thing I took on board from a former boss who was an absolute gentleman and fluent conversationalist but a hopeless leader because he was the classic yes man to his superiors, was to take the emotion out of the equation when arguing. Don't use hyperbole. Don't exaggerate. Stick to what you know and defeat your adversary with logic. Of course, your adversary will double down and make an even bigger fool of themselves, and not even realize that they have lost the argument, nor will they realize that people are laughing at them and not with them. It also helps if you can separate them from their minions.   A conservative elderly uncle, who left school at the age of 12, swears black and blue that taking Ivermectin (sheep dip) prevents Covid because he knew someone who knew someone else who took it and despite that person being momentarily in close contact with people who had Covid, didn't come down with it. "Well, you're the one with the science degree!" I said.   A lot of people argue out of ignorance. They base their points on populism and rumor. I rarely argue, but when I do, it is in an attempt to push back. Another favorite saying that I use is "Rumors are started by haters, spread by fools and believed by idiots." I then ask, "Which two are you?" 😉
