Wrote this for a good friend/sweet heart a while back. Its one of my favorites that I've written.

I am just the way nature made me, Gods own design.

Like the great big oceans, and the woods and the pines.

Though at times, I feel like an alternate reality.

You're a little weird, but I like it that way,

And its having you here that keeps me sane.

Oh please don't ever go away.

They're gonna take me all apart, and put me back together.

But I'll have the same heart, should my brains turn to feathers.

I know I'll be fine as long as you're here with me.

Because I'll always be your boy, some assembly required.

Just remember deep down that my spirit is still fire

when the winds of change blow through your hair.

Then she whispered, "I'll be there".

Sometimes I feel like a looking glass, looking out.

And when people look in, they scream and shout.

Though there is nothing to fear,

There is nothing in here.

Just the whisper that she'll be here.

And when I feel scared, I call you up.

And your smiles on the phone make me light up

Like our disco ball, that one July.

I am so looking forward to these summer nights

They’re gonna take me all apart,

Sometimes my mind is loud when the room is quiet.

I pretend to be fine, he pretends to buy it.

But you seek deeper, and settle my inner volume.

As it turns out, these things aren’t as crazy

As they can seem when its late, and I’m hazey

So I spin around to make our world look still.

But I’ll have the same heart,
