There is a series of 63 videos on Youtube by someone called Crista Lynn, very professional looking, about her life and transition. I found it fascinating. She seems to turn some people off, she can be rather abrasive and slapstick at times, serious and touching at others. You really have to watch the whole series to get the full impact. What she says, I think will strike a cord in all of us. In her you see all of the problems and heartaches we go through.

Well, if dad is paying for it, I guess he has some say so on the issue, but little does he know how fun some Enby's can be.  If he gets to know a few -------- but I guess he won't.  His loss entirely.  I feel bad, but for now you are having the right attitude about it.

Beautiful photo. In a couple of weeks, it should be sunny like that once the June gloom is gone.

Naturally, I've been wondering whether there are any entries in the 63 pages (currently) of this thread that involve a Rubber Chicken.   Search claims that to not be the case, but I have my doubts, given the stealthiness of Rubber Chickens, and how friends have surprised me with them! 🙂   Astrid

(Disclaimer: I am not out to my family because they are against anything LGBTQ related)   So it was a normal family dinner with me and my family sitting down to some dang good soup I'd slaved over today. The topic of conversation? My wedding. Personally, I'd like to get married someday, so I was joking with my brother that because he wasn't being nice to me that he was no longer invited.   Then, suddenly, out of the blue, my father chimes in with: "You can't invite any nonbinary people".   I'm silent out of shock (Because how does he even know that word!?!?!?) The rest of my family are silent, but soon start asking questions.   Turns out, he'd seen on the news today that Jonathan Van Ness from Queer Eye came out as nonbinary.  I probably should have found it hurtful, or have been scared, but to be honest, I just laughed. Even if it was an inappropriate moment to do so.  Because he said that to me, who identifies as a nonbinary gender. Who would be the one of the two people that the wedding is all about. God, if he knew. 😅 Guess I'm not allowed to be invited to my own wedding anymore!

In my experience you find good people when you are happy confident and okay being alone. When you are like that it’s like you share the best of yourself. You give off an awesome vibe and people like that. That’s when I’ve always met my long relationships.    Being trans is unfortunately something with negative connotations. So are lots of things. But people find partners that love them for who they are. There are no limiting factors. And you never know who that person could be. So all anyone can do is live. Be yourself and be your best. And not worry about it. I’d hate to be sad about it forever just waiting. I’d just go live life. And be me.

Good evening from here, sipping coffee after dinner, tastes great, and glad to be home after 13 days on the road down and up the west coast. Here is a pic I took from across the marina in SD and hotel complex I stayed at in the background...

Wonderful.  I'm glad you enjoyed the experience.

Litha (midsummer, summer solstice) approaches. This Saturday, the sun will be at its strongest, longest day.    The full moon Esbat is now, tonight.    Which means that the representative full masculine power of God (summer solstice)and the representative full feminine power of God (Full  moon)  will be the closest they come together astronomically and astrologically this year.   My mind has moved in interesting directions over the past few days.  The goddess calls...   Will attend a Litha Fire festival this weekend to celebrate.

By all means stop looking, but do not put words into other people's mouths. I've heard all 4 of those lines too, along with the classic, "it would feel weird being more than friends with you" and a few others.  Just enjoy being yourself, if you do not think you are worth the time why should anyone else? (a lesson I have recently learnt/still learning).   I'd bet you have plenty of good qualities, heck get some cats if you have really given up on people - but if you are strong enough to transition then you are strong enough to find more to look forward in your life than just skipping to the end of the book.

I am with you DeeDee.  Even before transitioning, I was always put into the friend zone.  Then I just hated these famous lines I was told.   1. Your too much of a friend to be a relationship person.   2. You have just not found the right person yet.   3. There is plenty of fish in the sea.   4, You dont have to date, cause your not the dating type of person.   All these lines I just hate with a passion.  They are all just the nice way of saying get away your ugly and I dont like you.   That's why I am just giving up and will just die lonely and alone
