TRANS*cend!

Today was a BIG day for me. My therapist had OFFICIALLY diagnosed that "there is no doubt in my mind that you have gender dysphoria and you truly are a woman in a man's body. The strongest case I ever worked with!" She will be transferring me from her to a real gender therapist in December who will guide me as I make my way through womanhood. Here's a poem laying my man self to rest and embracing my future!

TRANS*cend

At this point, it is not enough for me to

simply transition into the being that has

eluded me for all of my life. At age 27,

the shell of a man will depart from me
to join heroes who died at the same age.

Jim Morrison, the playboy poet, whose

gaze can melt icy hearts. Jimi Hendrix,

silky smooth guitarist breathed freedom.

Janis Joplin, guttural vocal cords blasting.

Kurt Cobain, articulate grunge pioneer.

May that sad side of me find peace after

trying his best to hide Lily from the world,

but now it is my time to emerge as I find

myself with the help of wonderful people

who accept and love me for who I am.

Being a woman is a spiritual act that is

calling me from within. I will never be a

supermodel but I will be cute regardless.

I will always be pure and true to my mother,

to my sisters, to future family, and to myself!

"Transitioning" is not powerful enough to

describe what is running inside my mind.

Every day of my life will bring me highs

and lows. In my lowest hours, I always

must remember that I will TRANS*cend!

How about you?

Lily Rose

I hope you like it! *hugs for my readers*

Just a hint hon-- you will not really kill "him" off, the rest you will give "him" is in a hammock on a spring day sipping lemonade for the rest of your lives!! Its time he quit doing what you were meant to, but there is room for you to have a brotherly / sisterly love affair with each other, and you can be best friends of a sort. From here on out though "he" will not hold you back and will take his ease. Others may think you have killed him, but we know better. "He" will have a grin on from horizon to horizon as "he" watches you.

Hey Vicky

I guess that's what I mean when I said, "put him to rest". Like Jim, Jimi, Janis, Kurt, and so many others, they all live on despite their change in form. Seems like "he" will live on too, but in a much different way! *hugs* Thanks for reminding me that "he" will not die, just be far far away from me! Watching and truly being happy for me! :)

Thank you for sharing your writing.

VickySGV has said it extremely well.

He will still be with you and you will still draw from his experiences.

However she will now be front and center.

The Peace and Happiness, I am experiencing, is truly priceless.

I wish the same for you on your Journey, Lily Rose.

Well yesterday didn't work like I wanted to. I met a guy and started talking and he was wanting to be in a relationship. I asked my kids on how they thought of me dating a man and they said gross and said no. I guess it's time to look for women. I think that is going to be harder. Oh well I guess.

I don't have anything in my dress pocket

This topic reminds me of the lyrics to the Beatles song, "A Little Help From My Friends."   "What do you see when you turn out the lights?"   "I can't tell you but I know it's mine."   Carolyn Marie

@Ivy have you read the actual document?   Has anyone else out there read it?
    • Abigail Genevieve
I am reading the Project 2025 document https://www.project2025.org/policy/   This will take some time.  I read the forward and I want to read it again later.   I read some criticism of it outside here and I will be looking for it in the light of what has been posted here and there.  Some of the criticism is bosh.   @MaeBe have you read the actual document?

      *older, not holder, oops :P
    • Abigail Genevieve
      No problem!

Old topic, but I gotta say my favorites are: "Stop hitting on minors" (doesn't work if you're holder tho) and "Sure as [squid] not you"

Abigail, I think we will just leave the other posts where they are, and the discussion can start anew here.  It is possible to do what you ask, but would disrupt the flow of the discussion in the other thread, and would require more work than it's worth.   Carolyn Marie

I am in too good a mood to earn my certificate today. I am sure something will happen that will put me on the path to earning it.

It's likely most cis-women consider a fitting unnecessary "because they know what  they wear" and get used to the wrong size.  The instructions for what your size is are simple and why go to any further effort?  You measure your bandsize and you measure your max and subtract the two to get the needed info for the cup size.  Then you buy the same size for years until it hurts or something.

Congratulations Lorelei! Yes, it is a powerful feeling to have the documents that say "you are you".

Here is space for discussion on this, since the topic is large and could derail another thread SOMEBODY started.   Could some dear, sweet, kind Moderator pull everything related to this from the Voting for Trump thread and put it here?  I don't know if you can do that; I am the new girl on the block after all (blinks sweetly).
