Took part in a beauty contest for crossdressers at a club

This was in September, I wanted to post this sooner but I was really busy with exams and then later forgot about it.

I took part in a competition called "Miss Aqua"at Aqua nightclub. The competition was for two nights, one was casual wear and the other formal. I made a punkish tutu for the casual wear, because they said the competition was not just about looks but about what you wear, how you act and how confident you are.

I was so0o nervous! I even practised at home how I was going to walk on the stage and blow a kiss to the judges. My friend went with me to support me, oh I forgot to say, Aqua is a gay club so I wasn't stressed so much about the stares but more about being confident and exuding hot confidence on the stage.

At the back where me and the other contestants got ready, we got free drinks which was pretty nice because it helped calm the nerves but I already had a "fish bucket" before that so I only took one drink.

The name I picked for to be called when I got on stage was Jennifer, because it was actually supposed to be funky names like stripper names but I didn't know what else to pick. Anyway, when I got on stage I was smiling away, even waving at the crowd as they were cheering as if I was a celebrity. I couldn't blow a kiss to the judges because they were aparently part of the crowd but we weren't allowed to know who they were.

After the competition we had to stay till 4am because my sister's boyfriend DJ'd at the club till then.

I'm not proud to say this at all...but I got wasted. .totaally drunk and I ended up falling into a guys arms and he started kissing me. It was my first kiss and that was not how I wanted it to be. I wanted to tell him to stop but I didn't know how to say it in a nice way. my friend was also wasted and she wanted me to go on kissing this guy because she thought I needed it. I really didn't. Anyway, it turned out my sister knew him and she took me away from him.

So that's the end of the first night. I'm going to post the second night as a comment because my phone gets slowwer the longer the message I type.

Okay, so the second night I decided no more alcohol for me! It was mainly because my friend didn't want to get drunk alone and she feels she can't dance when she's sober that I decided the first night to just get drunk with her.

The second night the first wig I wore on the first night looked like crap after I was dancing madly because I was drunk so I used my second favorite one.

I was more confident the second night because I knew how things were going to work. You just walk onto the stage twice alone and then with all the cotestants at the end, but of course you have to act super sexy.

I was told that the crowd went the wildest for me when I came on stage and that even straight guys were shouting. I was very flattered ,but I did not win the competition, or get second or third place. I'm not really upset about that.

I mean, I enjoyed myself a lot! I could be myself , even dance as myself, all without having to worry much what people think since it was a gay club. It was really amazing.

It is simply fun being out as yourself in a group. I first went public in gay bars. There are many stories attached to those evenings but i had fun if i remember correctly. Most important was just being me with others.

Hugs,

Charlie

Had a weird dream last night.

Morning, y'all. Evening here; we had the regulation three mugs full today. Now it's time to drink something else.     No big plans here either, eldest daughter and granddaughter will be arriving on Saturday, and we will have our granddaughter to ourselves for a week after that. We still have plans though. Tuesday we'll go to the swim center, Wednesday we'll take a road trip to visit my mom, Thursday we'll get some mulch delivered to top up the gardens.   I still make other small plans on a daily basis though. The things I do plan nowadays, which is a bit new for me, is that after pinching a nerve and ending up in a bit of pain and getting some treatment from the physio, I am more motivated than ever to exercise more regularly. Tuesday for example, I went for a short (15 minute) early morning walk, went to the pool for some hydrotherapy, and mowed the lawns. Yesterday I did my exercise reps and spent some time on the exercise bike. Today, I went for a 45-minute walk, tomorrow I will do my reps again and go for a long bike ride. As long as I do at least one thing every day, right? The pleasing thing is that I'm losing weight! I blew out to above 95kg early in the year and I'm just under 91kg now. Yay me!

What one piece of advice would you give to beginning transitioners or considering transition?

Positive side of the mixed bag.

Boredom is an emotional state that comes when a person has nothing to do, and is not interested in anything. To stop boredom, most people do something to occupy or amuse themselves. The first known use of the word boredom is in the novel Bleak House by Charles Dickens, written in 1852, but the saying to be a bore had been used to mean "to be tiresome or dull" since 1768. When referring to the mind, boredom is a bad state in which the person feels a deep lack of interest in what is going on around them, and where it is hard to focus.

So, yesterday's epiphany was that girl jeans fit me much nicer than boy jeans. Well, duh! So this girl is switching over to wearing girl jeans pretty much full time. I'll keep my others for work jeans. We went out to dinner last evening and I was in androgynous mode...wearing a pair of Bandolino Amy straight leg denim pants. Score!

Good morning, everyone!! The coffee upload has started for me but just in the early stages so I'm barely coherent at this point.   You've been missed @Willow - I hope all is going well with your wife and at work.   @awkward-yet-sweet We love to make beans with rice - one of our favorite meals.   No big plans for me today. Small projects around our place and probably some reading. We're going to have some rain off and on, and the temps are still too low for a lot of outdoor work.   Be safe and enjoy this beautiful day we've been given!!
