No No My Genesis your topic point of view was expressed as well and to the point as Nellies...appreciate both of your similar POV's..

I have learned so much about this topic..I really was in a quandary about whop these brothers and sisters are/were.

Now thanks to everybody here I don't have just sympathy but compassion and feel they are our kindred spirit....Mia

Finally had my EUREKA moment. It's not that I'm a moralist or that I'm a prudish person..eschewing pornography.but the simple fact that when I checked out the crossdresser sites all the women and the men were already naked.nude if you prefer............that doesn't turn me on.. I like to see people clothed or at least semi clothed.........the human body is exciting.but when clothed it has a sense of mystery about it.and a certain allure............after all to me a transgendered body is now commonplace and the nudity part has no mystery...........................

I just noticed this topic. I would like to add to it. Transgender sex work is a big problem here in San Francisco. Even the executive director of the transgender law center formerly worked in the sex trade; and she had a law degree. (when she transitioned, her law degree didn't carry any clout and she ended up doing what they call survival sex). There is even a clinic here specifically for LGBT sex workers--the St. James Infirmary. There is a rich history of the transsexual sex trade going back to the '60's in my neighborhood. I live a few blocks away from the site of the Compton's cafeteria riot where transsexual ladies of the night (and day) stood up against police harassment and fought back. This was before the Stonewall riots. It's not like that now, but the police and a lot of other people still assume all transsexuals especially around here are prostitutes. . . .and a lot of them are. I have dropped out of a few TG support groups because it got so boring hearing people go on and on about their life as sex workers. I've been approached many times for sex by men who automatically assumed I was a sleeper because I'm trans. There's a tenant in my building who makes eyes at me eveytime he sees me and says "quanto", "quanto" (how much?) I've been approached to do porn too. In this town, getting swallowed up into the sex trade is as easy as falling off a log. But some girls and guys have no way to survive or save the money for surgery and hormones, etc. I've got nothing against them for going that route. My opinion is that the state is guilty of sponsoring this suffering when they should be sponsoring, in a meaningful way the necessary medical and surgical interventions. The State-provided insurance, Medi-Cal, is supposed to pay for GRS but they have made it such an ordeal for the patient and the doctor, you can't even find surgeons willing to accept Medi-Cal anymore. Here in the Tenderloin, 'Transsexual' still means, prostitute, shop lifter, and drug addict to a lot of people. The majority, what was called the "silent majority" of trans-people tend to get overshadowed at times by the focus on sex workers around here.

We transsexual in New Orleans have a similar reputation, but not as flagrant as in a city like San Francisco. We have prostitution - and there are transgender prostitutes. BUT most are drag queens and homosexual prostitutes plying a particular section of demand. But to the public ANY transsexual is a prostitute.

And some prostitutes are true transsexual. In fact there is one in our support group - which is interesting as she lives a half block away from where we meet. It isn't a good life. This transwoman is passing but is NOT post-op nor under tha care of a physician. Her hormone shapped body is pure 'street' made with illegal hormones and industrial silicone injections. She is a good person, but not educated, probably would have made her living in male prostitution if not transgendered - and admits to that. She looks about 35 but is in her twenties. I hope I am wrong, but her chances of making it in this world seems limited as she grows older.

I don't know what else to say other that this amazing thing about her. She is a consultant to the family services of the parish. She helps councel battered women.

We have to be careful in what we consider the porn industry I think - and in this this case - the street people.

I hope she continues to attend and I told her so.

Nova and Elizabeth you probably live in the two most liberal and open societies in North America and both of you are such intelligent observers of the victims of the transsexual/gender community.....We are the fortunate ones and no matter how well educated you are i.e. Nova's friend the lawyer how poorly educated like Liz's friend anyone can become a victim of the sex trade.....................thank you both,,,,,,,,,,,,,,Mia

Everyone in the porn industry whether they are trans or not is being exploited, and those who watch it or buy are just as much a culprit as those who prosper from making such films. I know its like a drug to some and others the only way they can see out of a bad finacial situation. But most who get into to never find a way out til its too late or they are too old and then don't know where to turn afterwards. Same as a streetwalker it becomes a way of life for most of them. I had not investigated this until reading this thread, but OMG Oh my goodness? There is tons and tons of crossdresser/Trans Porn (Call it what you will) I was so so surprised to see this. It seems to me like most of them are just men with Breasts. Not much feminine about them? or is that just my opinion??

Probably all degrees...I knew a couple of girls who were working the street and making porn and they were absolutely stunning. Except they were not interested in genital reassignment surgery as that would have made them "unqualified" for what they were expected to do. They weren't anxious to get the surgery and didn't seem to mind being arrested for male prostitution. It just seemed to me that these two were much more interested in making money than anything else.

I lost it when I read this. I bawled for five minutes while I typed this. My heart feels broken again and I want to round all those ladies up and save them. What hurts the most is that I know I can't, especially as a 17 year old. How can this happen? Who could let this happen

Still bawling, charlotte

Hard to feel sorry for these people though rilly. I know that may sound calloused n' cold but come on, they know what they're gettin' into.

It's never been a pleasant and rewarding industry to be involved in and you seldom to never hear of a happy ending.

Curious as it seems the more morals are being put down on people the more extreme they become. It's a classic example of western Judaic/Christian culture where sex was so much repressed that it became an perversion, while in Asia and more in India sex was being practices with the utmost enlightenment, if you know what I mean. Good example is the Kama Sutra, which you can look at as straight perverse porn -or- as a way to become more spiritually enlightened.

It seems the more one represses something, the more one years for it, and in the end perversions or a fetish develops due to it's secrecy.

I don't think porn is bad, it's just an aspect -or mirror- of our morals, and the repression of sexuality, the same goes for gender issues and identity I think. Straight people probably view us as even perverted as a girl who does porn flicks, it's not that it's perverted, it is perverted because we think it is due to our judgments.

Of course, I cannot deny that exploitation takes place, let that be known. But that goes for many things in life. I know woman who work in the porn industry AT CHOICE. Yes, there are woman who like to have sex often, and they like being in the center of attention and voyeurism, and they usually really enjoy doing it. Again, let's not judge before we know both sides of the story. It's better to be centered than to impose one's morale and judgement on something that is so broad, and being done due to various personal reasons.

you know, ive always thought of things that way too. look at the problems america's higher drinking age is probably responsible for...

maybe people in the porn industry also felt 'repressed' and that's how they became involved - not in all cases, i mean as weve already established it's typically a financial issue, but i think that might be the reason for a lot of people.

And Mia I would agree that the examples you gave of soft porn mean that we probably all essentially watch some form of porn. thats another thing, media regulations in that aspect - and probably one of the only times when this is the case..haha - have become a lot looser (although I will probably never fully understand the reasoning behind American censorship, seems irrational to me the way they do things in most cases.)

and yeah i always did have a fascination with eastern cultures and how their values can differ so much from ours, in good and bad ways. in this case i think it's a good way :D

My attitude about porn is it,like gambling can be O.K. for the majority of people but for some it is an addiction,,and the laws of this country protect minors only,,the rest are treated as responsible adults and if thery don't act responsibly the problem and consequences are theirs

The pariciants at least in this country are mostly amatures or young people experimenting with their "adult" freedom,I know some are drug addled, but that is an adult choice.

As far as the situation in the Far East, I don't know what the conditions are, but I would like to believe it is a good one but I doubt it......

this reminded me of something...i recently started watching the show Weeds, i dunno if anyone else here watches it but there is an episode (actually a few episodes) where Andy, one of the main characters is asked to cater for "a business" turns out it's porn, and after awhile he's like "can't i just be in it?" and he has to convince the director he has "something special to offer", long story short he comes up with this bizarre idea of what "something special to offer" means, the guy lets him shoot, but after he does a few scenes the director is like "okay you're done go make me some hot dogs." and he gets mad and is like "you know, i thought this was one of the best industries ever.." blablabla goes on this rant, which concludes with "I'm done with this! It degrades men!"

Maybe that's what it takes to see the reality of things, who knows :P

The Eastern culture thing what we are referring to is like what androgynous is talking about, which i would call basically the attitude people take towards the topic.

I think the bottom line is you always have a choice. The only thing that matters is character, that's all we have as human beings(your heart). If you are saying porn is not a bad thing, how would our world be without it. I think that is something to think about. Do you think there would be more people living on the streets and hungry due to the fact no one will pay them to make videos. Would they just turn to something else to get by such as, dealing drugs, prostitution, grand theft, etc. Maybe adult film actors are just lucky to have industry, it keeps some people out of prison so to speak in the long run. Exploitation is a terrible thing, but the truth is, it can go on in any industry and field. It may not be the exact same but it is very similar. Believe it or not, but I have heard rape and other sexual crimes(referring to molestation and other horrible things) are down. I think a big part of that could be the porn industry, sad to say, but some sick people can rid their sexual tension that way instead of going out and raping some poor women, man, or animal(man in North Carolina recently was arrested for having sex with a horse for the second time, poor horse). This is definitely not a black and white subject( very gray). Does the end justify the mean. That is my two cents. Some food for thought.

I am not saying people who watch porn are sick, I am simply saying that there are sick people who would be doing worse things other wise.

While I don't know anyone personally in the "biz". I have been told by some friends who do know people in the "biz" that they absolutely love it and would never think of doing anything else for a living.

It isn't for me, but it could be something that others enjoy. Sure there are some who are exploited, sure there are some on drugs, sure there are some who are really unhappy, but for all those, there are some who are happy with what they are doing.

Personally I wouldn't support or discredit the porn industry. I do feel sorry for those who are unhappy with it. I wish things could have been different for them or that there was better way for them. I hate to see anyone unhappy with their life.

i agree with ashleyRF most porn stars transgendered or not like what they do most porn stars are exsibitionist by nature preforming for the camera showing off their naked bodies in variouse sexual acts gives them sorta the same buzz as people that sky dive or bungie jump

then coupled with the fetishtic nature of transvestisim i don,t imagine that they twist these peoples arms to get infront of the camera as ashley also mentioned im sure there are some that are un happy with it but the vast majority really couldnt imagine doing anything else

It is a difficult subject, because it's one of those things where a person belief is absolute and it's very easy to offend someone if you don't word it carefully..

My opinion on the majority of things in life is the same: if you enjoy it and you are happy there is no problem.

If you like watching porn then whatever, i'm sure i have some tastes that don't suit some people. i don't judge you, you don't judge me.

If you enjoy being in porn or working in that industry, who am i to tell you you're wrong?

that's like me telling the local vicar what he's doing is wrong because *I* don't believe in God.

Obviously there are those who don't want to be in that situation and fair doos they may need help.

But i think you'd be surprised at how many actually enjoy it. The news and the media will very rarely report on the 'positive side' to the porn industry because porn is something no one seems to think should *be* positive.

It's odd because i was acutally having the same discussion with my mum earlier XD i said how i often watch the TV shows they run late at night (sexorama, sexcetera etc) mostly out of morbid curiosity and also out of interest (for instance they had one about transgenderism the other day).

Yes the shows are a little tacky and yes the main reporter is clearly a guy who just wants to get up close and personal with porn stars, but the subject matter they cover and the people they interview are real.

And the vast majority got into porn because they wanted to. There are couples who work together and say it strengthens their relationship. A lot of the 'underground' brothel type places allow people to express themselves and their desires in a safe and judgement free environment.

There was one girl they were following who started at 18 doing nude modelling moved onto porn and now owns and runs her own porn/nude modeling company travelling america earning way more than i could ever hope to. She loves it! and tbh i'm a little jealous...

On the topic of 'crossdresser' same as above, they ran an episode about a club somewhere in america that specialises in transgender fantasies and modelling etc and the girls/guys working there loved it as well. i don't think it's degrading unless the person doing it feels ashamed.

How would you like it if someone told you changing your gender was wrong or degrading? you're happy that's all that should matter.

Yes there is always the element of crappiness, there are going to be those forced into, or those who feel they are being used or demeaned but i don't think it is the rule.

Yeh Mia, some of those Trans folk may indeed get a buzz from what they do, exhibitionism and other ""exotic""

stuff but that gives no one the right to almost "shepherd" them into degradation and poverty and illness and

death. Having said that , and Im aware your talking re our *social group*, this sort of abuse goes on everywhere

in the world and VERY sadly, most of the people going through the mincer are children. I dont wish to go off thread

so just to finish , I feel there is nothing being done globally re the abuse of the poor , the prostitution of women and

children degrades us all as a "civil" species. Thanks for your post Mia, luv,viv :)

But the important question I had was are these people truly part of our community or are they charlatans masquerading as transgendered women.

The answer is YES they are full members of our community who have the same conflicts and the same doubts and the same worries, but through lack of knowledge ,and lack of support end up in the dead end world of pornography and prostitution.

My question to everyone is twofold do you know any of our sisters who are in this situation and is their anything we can do to help bring them to our Forum and let them tell their story and what can we do to help them??? -Mia

Well it was inevitable I would find something like this thread in Laura's. And having read all of it to say I am amused and intrigued and very much thoughtful and even humbled is an understatement. I wasn't sure about mentioning what I do when I joined, but having read this I figure it is better to come out now rather than being 'outed' later on and accused of being dis-honest. Ok Mia, ask and you shall receive. I'll try and reply to most of the key points in this thread without turning it into 'War & Peace' :)

I have fought against doing things that I don't believe in to the point of one bankruptcy already and looking squarely into the possibility of a second. Some people can't face that and turn to things that they know that they shouldn't just for money. I may just die from starvation, but in that regard I will have lived my life true to myself, just in the wrong body. -Sally

Amen sister!! I will starve too, knowing I lived my life true!!! -bernii

There is nothing more disgusting, than the PARASITES of society feeding on the hearts and souls of the innocent. This is how people end up in prostitution and the porn industry. These parasites prey on the unsuspecting who have fallen on tough times, and when needing a helping hand, they get the deceptive hand of these parasites instead.

Perhaps Laura's could work with the LGBT organisations out there from allover North America to bring awareness of this site to the public so that someone like us can find us. - Amanda

I wouldn't recommend this life for anyone. It should be avoided like the plague. I do understand why people try it and I don't judge them. In my opinion its setting yourself up to be a victim and you aren't likley to achieve your goals. - Laura

And there but for the grace of Gods go I :)

I am a independent escort. A sex worker. A prostitute. And all the other words. I find nothing demeaning or insulting about any of those descriptions. I take pride in my 'job', my occupation, my time in which my soul sings in joy. I love doing what I do. I have nothing to be ashamed about. I begun sex work long before I started transitioning.

What I do, and the group of working ladies I am honoured to call my friends, is represented by being on the top of the sex industry pyramid. I admit that. We are the minority in that we are doing this by our own choice and are beholden to no-one. I sleep well at night. My parents know what I do. So does everyone close to me.

I am living my life true to myself.

I wouldn't recommend this life to just anyone either Laura. You need a mind like a steel trap and an unshakeable sense of your own self-worth/value. And a solid business plan lol.

Of course there a parasites in the global sex industry. There a parasites in every facet of the whole spectrum of humanity. Should I bring up the decades of abuse suffered by children at the hands of the Catholic Church across the globe for example of just one class of parasites? Paedophiles deserve the death penalty. Child-trafficking and child-prostitution is a serious problem and no-where near enough political will or muscle has been applied to seriously stopping it due to a multitude of vested interests across the globe.

Julia_D, you're not the only one in here. Many do not mention what they do for not wanting to be subjected to stereotyping and feelings of being morally 'less worthy'. I agree it is a viscous cycle to get drawn into taking drugs, and then finding yourself needing to work just to pay for the next hit to get you through. It is enough to experience someone else's pain and misery to turn you right-off as you say. What says people about the plenty of white collar males I have met who drag themselves off to work each day just to support their drug habit? Drug abuse is rampant and it is everywhere. Omnipresent.

In my state I am legally required to undergo a sex check-up every month. The rates of STD/STI's in the sex worker industry is so low compared to the general population there is a petition at the moment by doctors themselves to extend it to three months due to the time it soaks up from the general population, people who genuinely need attention and some of whom think unprotected sex is ok and play Russian Roulette.

Drugs, Pornography, Exploitation! All the same in my view - a terrible part of humanity. She-males? Trans-prostitution?... All the same - a sad and tragic direction in human life, a missed opportunity to be noble and clean and wise.

Yet whom am I to judge. I can see why a person would sell their body for gain when gain cannot be achieved any other way.

I KNOW I would do just about anything to transition, I just haven't been given the temptations to do it in a way I would not normally chose.

I pray to GOD he doesn't feel the need to tempt me. Would I murder for the chance? Deal in drugs to have the money? Sell my body to fools who are as desparate as I am in my own way? Temp the devil?

There is no Devil - just us.

We are a pathetic group of people, we transsexual. - Elizabeth K

..,,well not anymore I realize that going on a crusade to save these "poor souls" is like white 19th century Europeans saving the "savages from themselves."

I would rather be true to who I am in my heart like your friends than have to be some one I could not look in the mirror. If it meant porn, then that's what has to be done... - Mia

I think there is a point -when the person who lives that industry admits that that is where they are or will be- when there is no other "Psychologically salvageing" option other than to "rationalize" the behavior ie. strip it in consciousness to being "a job". The problem is that however "managable" (god bless you julia_d for surviving) that "job" is it does eat away at the persons sense of value. It distorts their ability to see themselves, and some times all people, outside of commodities eligible for trade. And for that it deteriorates the understanding -one person at a time- that humans are intended for something greater. - Evan J

Interesting P.O.V. Ashley and Sakura..no one's arm is being twisted and their is a certain thrill invovled in the "work day" certainly it is different than I.T. work or that dreaded "middle management" crap..good for both of you seeing the side of that biz, "porn" that satisfies the actors and the "audiance" forget the stigma and enjoy... - Mia

We're pathetic people? Tempt the devil? “Rationalise" into a job? Eating away at my sense of value? Possibly my attempt to tell my side of the story will be interpreted as being distorted For She Knows Not What She Does. But I will continue nonetheless. What EvanJ are you assumptions based upon? First hand knowledge? Of course it is a job. Such a label once again could be applied to any human undertaking. A nurse saving premature babies. Just a job. And could someone enlighten me just how in our societies we are not all 'commodities' for trade? Why are citizens of the state not called citizens anymore and instead globally referred to as 'consumers'? How is selling your body to sit in a office cubicle eight hours a day in a dead-end job in front of an computer monitor performing a pointless tasks to your employer whilst your brain screams in frustration any different? Our labour is an commodity. Working in a factory. A commodity. As far as I am concerned almost all work is a form of prostitution if you do not like what it is you do. It is my life that is ending one second at a time. How I use and spend that second is my choice. Your choice. Carpe Diem.

I have worked many jobs of the spectrum. Factory work. Office work. Musician. Etc. What I do at the moment is the best use of my mind and body for the returns I seek to advance myself.

Of course humanity is destined for something greater. I take great umbrage to the idea that being (or have been) a escort eliminates my chance be noble, clean or wise, or to reach enlightenment, to become something greater than the sum of my parts.

Hard to feel sorry for these people though rilly. I know that may sound calloused n' cold but come on, they know what they're gettin' into. It's never been a pleasant and rewarding industry to be involved in and you seldom to never hear of a happy ending. - Amie

I don't need pity or sorrow (or tough love in your case Amie). I am my own woman as you say. My eyes are wide open. And they twinkle in delight. And maybe a dash of mischief.

Curious as it seems the more morals are being put down on people the more extreme they become. It's a classic example of western Judaic/Christian culture where sex was so much repressed that it became an perversion, while in Asia and more in India sex was being practices with the utmost enlightenment, if you know what I mean. Could not agree more. Western Judaic/Christian culture is repressed when it comes to sex, sexuality and being female for starters. Here where I live prostitution is de-criminalised and I am registered as an sex provider. Legal. Legit. State-control of sex because governments are so afraid of what two adults consensually might get up to. Sex. No strings, no awkward moments, no commitments, just the honest desire to experience sex and pay for it. I provide a service.

Girls like me at the higher end are mostly invisible to society. We do not stand on street-corners. The internet has completely revolutionised the sex-industry models. My street corner is a 18+ website running 365. In public we blend in. Just another smartly-dressed woman in the crowd. When I arrive at a 5-star hotel my attire is that of a well-presented, professional business-woman there for a meeting or staying as a guest. Not turning up in cfm's and a pink mini. The movie 'Pretty Woman' is responsible for a lot of mis-conceptions today. (The only thing sort-of true about that movie was the line where she says in response to being asked her name: “It's whatever you want it to be”, hehe.) I offer a professional and discrete service for discerning gentlemen. It is my passion. My business. And yes it helps being blessed with my body, my figure. I am no longer repulsed by my image in the mirror that blighted me for many years. One of the reasons why I started working was to shake out my inner demons, to challenge myself, to see if I had what it took. To have a iron-clad sense of self-worth. Of self-respect. Of strength. My way or the the Highway. They might be paying you money to 'rent out your body' as some might call it but it is I who is in control. Who calls the shots. Many high-end workers are classic control-freaks. And I found out I loved it more than I dreamed possible.

As the depression gets deeper (monetary) the porn industry is one of the "depression proof" industries. It will thrive as others fail, the need for release is greater the more depressed you are and the porn industry supplies a release.- Sally

This belief is a fallacy. No business model or idea is 100% recession proof. What is depression resistant is if your business model is of a high standard/high quality, you know your market and you have the long term business plans to deal with the booms and busts of our democratic capitalist societies. The porn industry is under serious pressure from the free porn from all the amateurs flooding the internet. In fact it is a dead dinosaur still walking.

So what am I trying to say in all this? I am a rarity, the part of a very privileged top of the sex industry pyramid. I admit that. The original post asked if it was possible to bring souls like us into the forum and let them tell their story. My cards are now on the table. This is but a mere fraction of my life's mad epic journey thus far, of all the pleasure, of all the pain. I intend on writing a book one day, and from the people who know almost all of my life's experiences, say there'd be nothing else like it. I am here because I am human and have as many problems as the next human being. If I'm still allowed in here I'd like to be able to contribute, and please feel free to ask me as many questions (or debate me) as you care to. I'll be as honest as I can. You might have guessed already I'm a straight-up girl.

Hugs,

a very humble,

I don't have much to say about this topic...but I do have something.

I don't have a personal problem with porn. I also don't watch porn...I mean in my situation I'm lucky if I can get through a TV-14 show with sexual content and not have images stuck in a loop in my mind for the next 12-24 hours

What I do have a problem with is the "image" it creates for us - and I think I've briefly mentioned this before - when "crossdresser porn" becomes like its own subgenre of porn, or when I go on youtube and type in a keyword like "transsexual" and the first videos that come up are about prostitutes or trans porn (yes this has happened) It makes me wonder if people associate us with porn....that's what concerns me. It makes it even more difficult when you're trying to explain to someone "it isn't a fetish, it isn't some kind of sexual deviation..." when there are things out there suggesting just that.

I agree with this. Two days ago I had to explain to my MASTERS degree councilor at school that Transexualism didn't really have anything to do with the act of intercourse itself. She assumed I was a lesbian embarassed to come out and say as much so she suggested I do as her cousin and female partner did and just live together without persuing a change. Most people no longer see it as anything but a purely sexually driven action when it is truly about who we are inside. I cannot throw stones at the porn industry exactly because I write homosexual adult romance stories, but I do believe that because that is the only exposure most people ever get as far as learning about the community, that is all they really know of it. It makes me sad that no one really looks any deeper, that no one cares to look any deeper than that.

Lost interest in Porn after I began HRT. I'd say they are in it for the MONEY. Even I don't have a severe shortage of men, but they are not the types to care!

I fret constantly about my small boobs. Although, I don't have a boyfriend. My advice is to avoid that stuff as a career. It is a trap with all that mess.

I'm a fairly sleazy person and I wouldn't do it. I'd say the girls need MONEY and don't have a boyfriend.

take care,

Katie

They have lots of feminizing surgery and take low doses of Estrogen. i've been absolutely hated on by Gay men for being a TG. They have to be TG a good bit...as I don't see Gay Men getting Breast Implants.

how can they not be transgendered? if they are not, they sure are into some girly stuff

Brazil pays for reassignment surgery by public subsidy, it's so popular i guess.

The number is relative to method of deliver, the time of the dose, and when the blood is drawn. However, I do want to keep away from DVT and other potential issues. I assume I may be getting backed down from my current dose, but my doc told me to stick with the higher dose, so? I also wonder if this has anything to do the my breast growth and mental changes that have been happening over the past few years, like I have some estrogen sensitivity so a little goes a long way or something? I don't have enough data to postulate, but who knows!   With weekly, subcutaneous, shots you expect to see big swings of serum level estradiol from shot to peak to trough. My doctor is interested in mid-week testing (for E and T levels only), which would be post-peak blood serum levels but they will be higher than trough. Most, if not all, resources I've seen online is to measure at trough (which I might do just to do it next time) along with a SHBG, LH, and other metrics.   This is from transfemscience.org for Estradiol valerate in oil, which is very spiky compared to some other estradiol combinations. It's also for intramuscular, which will have a slower uptake and is usually dosed in higher volume due to the slower absorption rate from muscles. They don't have subcutaneous numbers, which I would expect to see similar spikes but higher levels at similar doses due to the relatively higher absorption rate direct from fat.   Are you doing pills, shots, or patches? And when you do get your levels checked are you getting that done when your levels are lowest or some other time?

Both of my parents were from the “North Shore” of Boston.  My mother Lynn and my father Swampscot.  They had an early 1900s Scots-Irish New England diet.  My sister and I were born in the 40s in Ohio well away from New England seafood and in an area where food was more German and Polish.  My first experience with liver and onions was during basic training.  They ate salt cod but never forced us to eat it same with oysters.  My dad ate oysters but my mother wouldn’t.  Anyone who ever ate an oyster can figure that one out.  I grew up eating lamb.  My wife won’t touch it. I love brazed ox tail, again no way. And the list goes on.

My mother was German, so yes, I think it was a cultural thing.  If I'd known you when we were cleaning out my mother's place, I could have sent you her "threat jar".

Wow that is a high number for Estradiol good grief! Testosterone levels are better than mine. I don't remember my Estradiol level but testosterone was 80. To me that is really high but it was in the two hundreds the check in before last one.

I don't understand why this would make a difference being a "dad" I mean, as far as how they would grow.

I don't see why not. I have worn forms since I came out.

I have never worn breastforms, but I assume as long as they don't aggravate your nipples you could.

Every week I've been excited to take my shot, so it's never been an issue. Yesterday, however, I woke up and started my usual "slow roll" and then suddenly realized I had breakfast plans that I had to rush out the door for. After, it was straight into work calls, and then I got the notification from the doctor about things being too high and all the while my mind had completely slipped that I needed take my shot.   Given that I am not asking for medical advice, but sharing my journey, I will note my results: Estradiol at 447 pg/mL and Testosterone was 23 ng/dL, up and down from 26 pg/mL and 526 ng/dL respectively before treatment. Almost flipped the bit! The doc would like my Estradiol closer to 300 pg/mL, so we'll see what Monday's tests state.   Oh, and I teased the dinner with old soccer teammates and never updated the thread! It went well. There were a couple funny moments. One guy, who I was worried about their response, greeted me with "Hey, you've lost some weight!" 😎 And a friend who lives near me picked me up on the way to dinner exclaimed, after we learned one of the invitees might show up with a date, "Wait! We could have brought women?!" To which I instantly responded, "You kind of did, bringing me!" Everyone got a good laugh out of that. 😁

To me there isn't that much difference other the measurement, which side the zipper is on and men's pants have bigger pockets.

I hope this is not stupid question..I have yet to start n not sure if doc will approve..but once you start growing buds n such, can you still wear forms to get to the size you were?   I'm a dad, so when I start blossoms they will be smaller for a long time n probably need surgical augmented..that's fine. I don't want to go ddd to aa to ddd..   any ideas?   thank you

I like them too.  We had them growing up.  But my father's family were Swedes.

Oh my!  I guess it just goes to show how different tastes can be. Since we don't live near the ocean, Seafood is a rare luxury. We absolutely love pickled herring! Especially my husband and my GF, I guess it's a Ferman/Russian cultural thing.  But most of the kids like it too, and a jar wouldn't last in the pantry for long 😆

I think the key to that is just not minding eating the same thing repeatedly. Since we produce a lot of our own food here, we end up eating what is in season at the moment. So, when the yellow squash is ripening, we end up fixing squash 20 different ways. When the strawberries are ready, we eat lots of strawberries. It's kind of a different mindset to eat in season when it has become such a part of American culture but the grocery store has everything we want all the time. Like grapes in December.  My family does even things out a little bit by having a greenhouse so we have some fresh things in the winter, but it's not a 100% fix.
