Experiences on Dressing for the Summer

Hi all

I thought I would give you an insight into my experiences yesterday as I think the ideas will be of benifit to some.

As I have mentioned previously I am essentially non-binary. As such I sometimes have a male mindset, sometimes female, but predominantly somewhere in the middle, wearing makeup and dressing female (except for work) but not girly (pretty dresses, skirts etc). Obviously it is without problem for me to dress male. Raises the odd eyebrow for me to dress feminine, but is a definite no no to be girly close to home. There are times though when I feel really girly and love the clothes.

Last weekend while out I bought a new skirt which is pretty, girly and works well with the type of things I wear. Probably more my age than many things I wear as well as just above the knee but not too short (I love short skirts but not to be classed as 'bum covers' lol).

Yesterday the weather was sunny and warm. Ideal for a stroll. The problem was to get out without looking odd (too heavily dressed), and not obviously girly. It is easy to wear a bra during the winter as clothing is thick and so it would not readily be noticed but in the summer when wearing a t shirt it becomes obvious. I do not wear forms as such but use the somewhat smaller bikini pads. I am not keen on large boobs but they need to be evident both for my feeling and outward appearance. As such under the black t shirt I was wearing I could leave the house wearing a black bra without the pads and return without obvious signs. These days I wear non-underwired bras as I find them much more comfortable. They also tend to show through clothes less than the underwired variety, which are less flexible. As it happened I risked going out wearing the pads as it was quiet when I left anyway.

For under wear under the skirt I decided to wear my Sloggi Maxi panties. I bought these for use under a skirt as they have good control (but are not control panties as such). They kept things in line all afternoon. They are very comfortable, if a bit on the warm side for a sunny day, but would protect my dignity in a freak gust of wind lol. The bad side is that they are expensive, being several time the price as ordinary panties.

I decided that the easiest thing to do would be to wear my leggings on leaving the house. My t shirt is longish - to the top of my thighs so my small bulge is not noticeable.

On getting outside of my local area I stopped, pulled on my skirt (it has elasticated waist) and pulled off the leggings, then tucked the t shirt into the skirt waistband.. As I was wearing sandals all this was easy and completed within a couple of minutes. The bikini pads are easy to fit as well as my boobs although male and small do enable easy location. To do things in reverse is just as easy.

Now it was time to enjoy things, which I did. A pleasant walk around a small town in the sunshine. Lots of people about enjoying the weather. One of those times when it all works and life feels good :) . On close inspection I may not look very female but mood and confidence conquers all!

Postscript: Today went just as well. My partner wanted to go swimming in a local town while I did the shopping. I did so then visited a local fair and took in the atmosphere. I was wearing leggings and the blue patterned dress / top I wore in the photo I recently posted. I did think a bit as I wore this outside the house - maybe wearing the skirt locally would not have been too much of an issue but bare legs and flaired skirt seems to be a difficult line to cross (at least in my mind). Another nice day :)

This topic reminds me of the lyrics to the Beatles song, "A Little Help From My Friends."   "What do you see when you turn out the lights?"   "I can't tell you but I know it's mine."   Carolyn Marie

@Ivy have you read the actual document?   Has anyone else out there read it?
    • Abigail Genevieve
I am reading the Project 2025 document https://www.project2025.org/policy/   This will take some time.  I read the forward and I want to read it again later.   I read some criticism of it outside here and I will be looking for it in the light of what has been posted here and there.  Some of the criticism is bosh.   @MaeBe have you read the actual document?

      *older, not holder, oops :P
    • Abigail Genevieve
      No problem!

Old topic, but I gotta say my favorites are: "Stop hitting on minors" (doesn't work if you're holder tho) and "Sure as [squid] not you"

Abigail, I think we will just leave the other posts where they are, and the discussion can start anew here.  It is possible to do what you ask, but would disrupt the flow of the discussion in the other thread, and would require more work than it's worth.   Carolyn Marie

I am in too good a mood to earn my certificate today. I am sure something will happen that will put me on the path to earning it.

It's likely most cis-women consider a fitting unnecessary "because they know what  they wear" and get used to the wrong size.  The instructions for what your size is are simple and why go to any further effort?  You measure your bandsize and you measure your max and subtract the two to get the needed info for the cup size.  Then you buy the same size for years until it hurts or something.

Congratulations Lorelei! Yes, it is a powerful feeling to have the documents that say "you are you".

Here is space for discussion on this, since the topic is large and could derail another thread SOMEBODY started.   Could some dear, sweet, kind Moderator pull everything related to this from the Voting for Trump thread and put it here?  I don't know if you can do that; I am the new girl on the block after all (blinks sweetly).

      I think I lost a friend :(

I will have arrived when I have a b*tch certificate of my own.  I think someone called me one once.

That’s fantastic Lorelei. I’m so happy for you.   Hugs,   Mindy🌈🐛🏳️‍⚧️🦋
