Yeson VFS / South Korea

I would like to visit the Yeson Voice Center in South Korea next fall or something when I save up enough money for VFS... Anyone who's been there able to share their experiences of getting around seoul itself and the yeson place?

I've never been to another country and i'm trying to figure out as much as possible from all sources.

I have seen a few of the YouTube videos for Yeson and I have also seen a few really good videos for Speigel in Boston. I am at a point where I am willing to spend what I need to in order to get this done. The voice is clearly and identifier more than some of the visual clues. I had also seen a video from a young woman who had the voice surgery done, I believe in Mexico or one of the other countries south of the border. She was tearful at first, but in listening to her voice (she had recordings at various intervals) her voice seemed to fit her face and it sounded good. The videos for Yeson and Speigel support the notion. I have to wonder when the insurance companies will start to cover this.

I contacted Yeson and then didn't sound very positive about the surgery for older transgender women. They even want me to sign a form saying I would never talk about the surgery if there were problems. Any older women have this voice feminization surgery at Yeson or anywhere else?

Yes, I just got a similar email regarding my inquiry. This is beyond disappointing to say the least. You would think there would have been some options. I am going to be rethinking a bunch of things. Good luck all.

I ended up having surgery with Dr. Haben in Rochester, New York. While the surgery was successful, and I’m happy with the results, you should be prepared for a long recovery.
