Maybe Not Really Activism, But Some Action For Sure

The Trans*Chorus of Los Angeles had quite a star studded audience to play to this evening in the front room of one of the major Hollywood publicists and his husband.

From the TV show #Transparent --- Jeffrey Tambor, Alexandra Billings, Jill Soloway, Zackery Drucker and Van Barnes managed to get front row seats. (All of whom I met in person last summer briefly, but who remember me -- total shock!

Caitlin Jenner and Candice Cayne were actually to the back of the house. Author Jennifer Finney Boylan and several other officers of GLAAD were spread around the room as well.

I was sitting up near the Chorus as well, but I was working as their sound tech and not schmoozing with the stars. !! The singers are the first out and publicly performing choral group of Trans* people in the U.S., and they do an amazing job for only having been together singing for 5 months. The music director is also Trans* as I have noted here before. These folks and even their NAME house guests are such a great family, and IF people would look at them as examples of what we Trans* folk really are, we would have a lot less hate. The singing is unique but it is enthusiastic and heartfelt. I love working with them, what little I do.

PS Carolyn Marie, there were some people you know well who had hoped you could have been there.

I'm so glad you are able to contribute your time and talents in doing your part to get such a great group together. Hopefully they all enjoyed the show. I wish i'd been there in your pocket to pick up the good vibes.
