Free At Last - Sporting Natural Hair

Guest

Recommended Posts

Recently went wig free and began sporting my natural hair.  I still have a ways to go for the desired length of 20+ inches, but that's ok!

A few things I do miss about wigs are doing hair flips with the longer length wigs, the variety of styles, and the ease of wigs being pre-styled!

I have more hair on other parts of my body than my head so i've grown to love my wigs.  They are certainly easier to maintain that a full head of hair but i would also enjoy the feeling i had as a youth during the 60's when as a hippie i could at least grow my hair and enjoy the feeling even if it brought abuse from some.

Hugs,

Charlize

My own hair has maxed out at 18 inches in the very back.  It has taken 5 years to get that far, and if you really look at my hairline, there is a tad of MPB at the temples, but my stylist knows I am Trans*  (She has an MtF sister) and compensates on the MPB with how we style it.  Which is to say, it really has NO STYLE.  We both agree that my hair is the ONLY STRAIGHT feature of my life.  My current color is a "custom color" that my stylist mixes, and is perfect for me.

I have gallery pictures of some of my wigs and hair pieces that I put there as demonstration for some new members to see for instruction.  I like wigs and some of my hair color choices in the wigs I don't dare wear on a daily basis and if I did it would be hell to get back to my current color which hides my gray very well. .

Milani -- I will be in Ft, Lauderdale FL the last week in September at the Southern Comfort Conference (a Trans* convention) and as I learned last year, my hair behaves better there than it does at home due to the humidity.  I know full well why wigs are worn with due consideration there, but I will be taking two of my fun ones.
