2015 U.S. Transgender Survey (USTS) Results on Dec8th

I got this in my inbox today, I thought there might be some here interested in the results. You can register for the event in the link below. Since the 2015 U.S. Transgender Survey (USTS) closed in September 2015, the release of the results has been highly anticipated. For the last several months, my colleagues and I have been working day and night to analyze the data and complete the report. We’ve appreciated your patience and support as we’ve worked to bring this important resource to fruition. Today, we’re excited to finally announce that NCTE will be releasing the final survey report on December 8. We are so thankful for everyone who pitched in to make this the largest survey of transgender people in the United States to date, with nearly 28,000 respondents. I am especially grateful to all of those who participated in this historic survey to make their voices heard and share their experiences. We hope that this report will reshape how America understands the diverse experiences of transgender people, including non-binary people, throughout the United States. There is still a lot of work to be done in educating policy makers, educators, advocates, and the general public about the individual experiences of transgender people. The report’s in-depth analyses will highlight the disparities that disproportionately and uniquely impact the transgender community. Additionally, personal stories included in the report will illustrate the complexity and nuances of the issues that transgender people face in the United States.We are so excited to soon be able to share this resource with you, and we know that you will use this report to raise awareness and prompt conversations about the unique experiences of transgender people in the United States. 28,000 is a good  sample size, that is more than is usually used in polls that get national attention!!!

I too had the notice in my E-mail box.  NCTE gets some money from me every year for the last 10 or so, and so I get quite a lot of this stuff.  There was a better accessed and advertised effort on this survey.  Not sure it will be a kick in the teeth to the disbelievers or contrarians who think Repairative or Conversion Therapy is the answer to THEIR problems with us.  I was a bad Trans* girl yesterday and told one person that if they went through Conversion Therapy to turn them Trans* that I might consider having it to turn Cis, although it was late on some details.
