Trump signs Executive Order holding VA employees liable for providing outstanding care

Trump signed an Executive Order holding VA accountable for providing excellent care for veterans.  Individual employees can be held accountable for their conduct to veterans.  

Boy have I had a couple of obnoxious VA employees and one doctor that I won't hesitate to let my displeasure known if I receive less than professional treatment.  I also believe in praising outstanding care and letting great techs and nurses know it when they perform above and beyond what is expected.

This sounds like something good, but I think there is less here than meets the eye.  VA employees, like all civil service employees, are subject to discipline if they are the object of complaints.  They are also protected by civil service rules, so if the EO aims to short circuit that protection, the President will likely be sued once again.  But certainly, the aim of the EO, to call attention to quality public service, is a good one.
