 We fought and won this war before. Our community helped defeat DADT and supported our GLB community members during the bad years. If this president thinks a 'presidential edict' will last beyond his brief tenure then he truly does not know how strong willed the Transgender Military community is. We won before, fights, battles, and wars and we'll wine's again and again and again until others finally understand that we are Citizens, we have Rights and we have Fight and we'll never give up, never surrender and never run away.

The careers and lives of our trans brothers and sisters in the military isn't even worth the ink on a memo to this Jerk-In-Chief.  The end comes with a damned Tweet!  Nothing surprises me with this man.   He is heartless, and cares only about his political career and his ego.

I do not now believe that he will last four years in office.  But Pence would replace him, and so this edict will remain for now.  For those who came out already while on active duty, you'll need to make plans to be soon removed.  I am so sorry for you, and my heart goes out to you.  You trusted your generals and your civilian leaders to live by their commitments, and they have been overruled by their cowardly, bigoted president.  For those not yet out, you'll have to make a decision on whether to stay in stealth or leave.  :(

We will be here to support you as best we can.  Fight on, my friends, and hold your heads high.  You have my utmost respect and admiration.  Thank you for your service!

The next question will be, does Trump end all treatment for transgender veterans?  Congress may have some say in that, but I put no faith in them, either.  We shall see.

This fat stupid idiot of a president now shows his true colors towards our LGBT COMMUNITY..  This is discrimination towards us,

He is the most anti constitutional president in history.  Transgender troops are in positions that required expensive training.  I had to process Chapter 13 discharges which I  had to process on trans and gay and lesbian soldiers.back in the 1970's.  I was a paralegal.  I came out to an Army Psychologist that I was trans.  Could have got me discharged..  The cost to train me far para legal far out cost all the surgeries I could have had.  Trump is getting creamed on the morning news shows over this tweeted decision.  If Trump runs in 2020 the LGBTQ community needs to vote with a clear and loud message.  NO TRUMP

Ah, Captain Cheeto farts again! I don't think he is going to get this one to stick. There are too many Republicans that are against it, and the ACLU has announced they are filing a suit against it. That and the military has already spent a lot of money of training their personnel on inclusion of transgender service members. One thing the military doesn't like to do is step backwards on anything once they have spent money on it.

I hope your right Erin.  I also hate to see this backward movement.  As far as the Log Cabin bunch.......the T is at the back of the LGBT movement in their eyes.

This reads to me like attention-grabbing.  What has been settled is that the percentage of people who seek to undo medical and surgical transition is low enough as to have no bearing on this discussion.

Walt Heyer and Paul McHugh are the go-to "authorities" for those grasping at straws to support their lame arguments against transition and the transgender condition in general.  It's willful ignorance writ large.

      I'm sorry it didn't work out for the new job. Nothing to keep you from being on the search. I had a coworker who used to walk out of the locker room saying; "I was looking for a job with I found this one and I'll keep searching for the next one.       This whole Cass Review thing is breaking my heart. I keep imagining how it must be to be a trans kid in the UK atm. I am halfway through reading the review so that I can effectively refute it if and when people cite it here in Australia.

      One thing I took on board from a former boss who was an absolute gentleman and fluent conversationalist but a hopeless leader because he was the classic yes man to his superiors, was to take the emotion out of the equation when arguing. Don't use hyperbole. Don't exaggerate. Stick to what you know and defeat your adversary with logic. Of course, your adversary will double down and make an even bigger fool of themselves, and not even realize that they have lost the argument, nor will they realize that people are laughing at them and not with them. It also helps if you can separate them from their minions.   A conservative elderly uncle, who left school at the age of 12, swears black and blue that taking Ivermectin (sheep dip) prevents Covid because he knew someone who knew someone else who took it and despite that person being momentarily in close contact with people who had Covid, didn't come down with it. "Well, you're the one with the science degree!" I said.   A lot of people argue out of ignorance. They base their points on populism and rumor. I rarely argue, but when I do, it is in an attempt to push back. Another favorite saying that I use is "Rumors are started by haters, spread by fools and believed by idiots." I then ask, "Which two are you?" 😉

      Good morning, all!!! Cloudy today with some light rain coming. Not a day to work outside.   I will vacuum the house and the head out to our local hardware store after I get cleaned up. Time to buy a new bird feeder for the back porch.   I'm sorry the job didn't work @KymmieL! Hang in there.   It sounds like a busy time for you at work @Willow.
