Clergy Crossdressers

I am a Baptist  minister who has finally accepted who I am.  I am a crossdresser who has a feminine side that really defines who I am.  I have tried to deny this for almost 70 years, but no longer.  As a clergy person this has been complicated by my calling, but I now understand that there I can still love God, be loved by God and express my feminine self.  I know understand this in a new way that the truth has set me free.

I am not an ordained clergy person, but am very active in the lay ministry of my church to the LGBT community.  I am Episcopalian and actually am in touch with a good number of our clergy who are Trans.  http://www.transepiscopal.org/   is an organization for our clergy but there is also https://www.believeoutloud.com/ which actually lists churches that may be in your neighborhood, some of which may have clergy that fit into the Trans* picture in other denominations.

Trans* people are indeed some of the most spiritual individuals there are.  Even being involved in a Christian denomination, I also am involved in other directions of spiritual exploration which if anything enhance and expand on what my Faith teaches as opposed to negating it, or "leading me astray".   Welcome to our place here and do know that some of us have found that with prayerful discernment that our Trans* condition is and can be a wonderful example to our fellow church members of what total honesty and surrender of our personal will to become our true selves is wonderful in so many ways.  I am nearly 70 in years, but much less in attitude.

Thank you for that beautiful response.  This is the first time in my life that I have allow myself to start to express so many hidden feelings.  I don't know what the cost of this will be, but there's no turning back now.

MCC church is another that has LGBT canon by Rev Nancy Wilson and others  Most liberal thought agrees that being Gay or crossdressing is not a sin, its what you  do to others or sworn to God that can be.  http://mccchurch.org/
