A question about sex post GCS

I could use some help. I had sex for the first time since my surgery (4months) I did a quick round of dilation right before and used plenty of lube. My partner in not larger than my largest dilator. While I did not have any pain, there was tearing and bleeding. I'm sure it worried him more than me. Plus is was obviously still very tight.

Does anyone have any recommendations of how to loosen things up and prevent the tearing?

The only thing I can think of is this is still a little early.  You say you're still tight.  You just might not be flexible enough yet.   Also dilation is easier on the body than the real thing so don't discount that.  I would continue dilation, possibly increasing the size.  I've heard that an estrogen cream can help increase/maintain flexibility, although you would need a prescription for it.

You are still very early in the game so things may become less eventful.  I do not actually know what you mean by Tearing there, but I would have a gynecologist do an internal check up.  You could have some granulation going on inside which can produce some minor bleeding and the Gyno can treat it.  You are going to be tighter than a Cis woman, it is just a fact of who we are and how our vagina was constructed.

Thank you for the advice. I saw my gynecologist the other week. I know there was a small area of granulation. I already have the cream and she mentioned cauterizing it if it was still there on my next visit in January. I guess I should have asked more about what granulation was. I did not realize it could cause the bleeding.

We have decided to wait a bit before trying again. Like I said, I think it bothered him more than it did me. It did not hurt, and once I cleaned up the bleeding stopped pretty quickly. I know he was worried that he had hurt me or damaged me in some way. I tried to make light of it and commented that you have to expect a bit of blood when loosing your virginity.

I just had my third follow up visit at 3 months, I had a little granulation overall. But my surgeon still found some (yes I take the three hour trip to see her in person). She applied some silve nitrate on it and it bled like I had a period on that day (thank god I wear sanitary pads). The next day it was significantly less, and now there is none. Up until this week I have not bled since early september, late august. My surgery was August 1st--btw.
